The silence pressed against Zoe's ears as they sat on the cold stone floor, each waiting for the other to speak. She looked around her and wondered what time it was, the students must be eating their breakfast now, or even have finished it. She stared at the floor for a few moments, and then at the sky. It was a lot lighter now, as the sun had risen. A shadow covered Zoe's face as an owl flew overhead. It dropped a folded up newspaper so that it landed between the two. Lucinda looked at it, without a bit of interest, before she saw the contents. She snatched the paper up and began to read, furiously. Zoe merely looked at the back of the paper, as she couldn't see Lucinda's face, with a interested expression on her face. Lucinda sighed and place the paper back on to the stone. Zoe looked at it, interestingly. She saw Lucinda's father, Kade Chaplin, peering up at her from the paper. She smiled and looked at Lucinda, who seemed to be thinking. She looked away again and began to read the little text that wasn't obscured by shadow.

Lucinda noticed Professor Black's gaze go from her to the paper. She seemed to be reading the text that was readable. Lucinda pushed the paper in her direction. She didn't mind that Professor Black read it, because it was nothing that she wouldn't read later. Besides, it wasn't a secret.
"You can read it, if you wish," Lucinda said with a sigh. She knew that Professor Black had seen Kade's face smiling back at her, with two beat up looking witches on either side of her.
Lucinda was told that she didn't resemble her father much in physical terms, but rather her mother. She had long, wavy brown hair, not that jet black that gleamed in the light like her father and brother. She had shocking green eyes while he possessed pale blue ones. No; in appearance, Carlisle looked like Kade. She was told otherwise about personalities, however.
She waited in the awkward silence for Professor Black to finish reading the article.

Zoe continued to read the paper. Lucinda pushed it towards her and she finished reading the rest. She did really know what to say to Lucinda, as she knew she would have an answer for everything running through her mind. She merely fiddled with her hair.
Zoe could hear students now, walking about the grounds for some morning air. She didn't blame them, it was a beautiful morning after all. She heard the wind whistle through the trees of the forest and heard students playing down by the Lake.
Her and Lucinda sat in silence, listening to the students at the foot of the tower. She thought of what she could say.

They sat together, Professor and student, in an awkward silence that hung in the air. Lucinda wasn't really sure what to say, and clearly Professor Black didn't know either. Lucinda just stared at the picture of her father on the paper. She could hear the movement of the other students below the tower. She supposed that they should perhaps go and eat some breakfast, for now her hunger became prominent as her stomach growled.
"Perhaps we should go down to the Great Hall," she suggested finally. "People might start wondering where we are." She slowly got to her feet and brushed off her robes.
"Thank you, Professor," she said, smiling. "For everything."

Zoe stood up. "Perhaps you are right, and, you're welcome," she smiled and started walking towards the stairs. Lucinda was ahead of her, and Zoe walked slow as she was thinking. The hunger finally got to her and she sped up, leaving behind only echoes of footsteps. she heard one last breeze, prancing through the trees, before she left.
