Lucinda blushed as Professor Weasley mentioned her high potential and abilities, which were way beyond those of her year. She was glad that someone appreciated what she knew. Some students were jealous and some teachers were annoyed that she already knew how to do half the things they were teaching. This year was going to fly by at this rate.
He then studied her face as she thought about Andrea. He took it the wrong way, however, and thought she was scowling at his mention of flying. She shook her head out of her thoughts and looked at him.
“Oh, no, Professor!” she claimed. “I love to fly! As you can see, that broom upstairs, I do it a lot in my free time. Guess I’ll have to sneak that sucker around other teachers. I’ll sign up for your class, ASAP, like I promised. It would be fun. Flying in the air seems to relieve one of many heavy thoughts.” She sighed.
“I was thinking about how your class would be a lot of fun,” she admitted honestly, and a bit sheepishly too. She didn’t want him to get the wrong impression that she was sucking up to him, for that was not like her. “I mean, many of my classes haven’t turned out so well. I have already gotten detention because of Andrea Black.” A small bubble of anger seemed to blow slowly up, but Lucinda suppressed it as best she could.

"Black. No doubt one of Bellatrix's ilk, then," George muttered. "I'm guessing she's nothing like Sirius Black, if you're talking of her with such... anger." George was relieved that Lucinda enjoyed flying - he had feared that she was like Neville Longbottom, afraid of going more than two feet off the ground on any moving object - but George's teacherly duties took over.
"Well... You have to just deal with it," George admitted. Expecting Lucinda to react incredulously, he continued: "Yeah, I know, I didn't take crap from anyone in school. But my example isn't one you want to follow... in most cases. Just keep your nose down when she insults you. Any sane teacher will have to punish her at some point." George shrugged. "I won't let her get away with it if she's in my class... I'll keep my eyes peeled."
George stared at the Great Hall doors, smirking. "Why are we standing out here?"

Lucinda nodded as George analyzed Andrea’s background. Nothing like Sirius Black, indeed. He was the only sane Black that ever lived, in Lucinda’s opinion. She wished she had met him - he was one of the few people Lucinda ever wished to meet, but was dead. She frowned slightly but composed herself when he addressed her again. He told her that she would just have to deal with it, and he hurried through another explanation as if he expected Lucinda to explode at the very thought.
“You’re right,” she said, with a sigh. “I’ll just have to deal.” She laughed when he mentioned that he would make sure she got away with nothing. They smirked at each other, and he asked why they were standing around. Lucinda shrugged and took a few steps toward the door.

George watched Lucinda walk towards the door. Lucinda was an intriguing girl - he'd have to watch out for her, otherwise he might find himself at the recieving end of some of that hyper-advanced magic of hers. His first student met, and already he was impressed. George wondered what the other students were like.
He didn't wait to see what Lucinda did. He waved good bye to her before taking a staircase up to the staff table, smiling all the way. And after all that running, he wasn't late. Quite the interesting development after all. He ambled up the staircase, unlocked the staff door (wondering if Lucius intended on keeping him out by locking it) and entered, leaving Lucinda by the Great Hall entrance.

Professor Weasley waved goodbye and Lucinda gave him a farewell smile before departing. He left in the opposite direction, probably to use the correct entrance for the Staff Table. Lucinda, however, walked into the Great Hall.
It was already packed with students, indicating that the feast was just about to start. She smiled, seeming as they were just on time. She hurried over to the Gryffindor Table and sat down next to some friends. She looked up at the Staff Table and smiled again.
