"I don't doubt that a lot of people feel rather uncomfortable with the lack of aurors," commented Netta. "Particularly with the situation being as it is." Things were steadily getting worse in her opinion. If they weren't careful there would be muggle and muggleborn hunting. And the aurors, being so few of them, would have even less power to stop them than last time.
"Hopefully your lessons will encourage more students to take that career path," she said. "There is a great shortage in that field of work and more aurors would be appreciate by nearly all."

George nodded at Netta's comment. It made sense, after all - Aurors were needed, so what did the Ministry do?
Interfere.
George blinked, shocked at his own thought. Then again... it made sense, so why did it seem ominous? It was to help the populace, not harm it.
That's what they said about Umbridge at the time.
George would have sighed loudly, but then he risked looking like an utter arse. He bit his lip instead.
Thomas is NOT Umbridge, George told himself - a very true statement. Things are very different now. I'm just paranoid, because of... things.
Like Lucius.
"So... what d'you think of the other teachers? The new ones, I guess?" George inquired, eager to get his mind off of his singularly odd thoughts. "I like the Dueling Professor... Professor Collins, I think. And Professor Black is very kind, too."

"Yes, Zoe and Lyn are both very nice," agreed Netta. She'd seen Zoe more often than Lyn since term had started but they both seemed kind. Netta was glad to welcome them both to the teaching staff.
"Katana's nice too as well," she added. It was true. Netta liked the new nurse and magical remedies teacher. She had stood up to Lucius when they had been at The Three Broomsticks. Katana had earned Netta's respect through those actions. She hadn't been intimidated by the ex-Slytherin's actions or words.
"It's going to be interesting to see how the new classes go once they've been up and running for a while," she said. "It's good that the students have more lessons to chose from now. They're able to pick classes they enjoy and are good at. Although they still can't escape some of the lessons," she added, grinning towards the end.
