Two Friends [Kat]

Kathie could feel how curious Lucinda was about Reynard. She knew her friend wouldn't just pop her with more questions because she had already found that this subject really made her too moody. Kat sighed and too another slip of her butterbeer.

"I definitely despise him." She nodded in agreement. "You know, until now our war is being with pranks... really big and dirty pranks" She said, her face darkening. "I should warn you, but if you want to join me... with the two of us he doesn't even got a shot." She said smirking.

She heard carefully Lucinda's words about Mr James Potter and laughed when she finished. She was really curious to meet him, and to see how were his famous pranks.

"You know, James against the two of us doesn't have neither a shot. I think it would be funny to meet him... and I really need to check with my own eyes that thing of you and him being the perfect pair." She teased, winking.

Kat seemed glad that Lucinda didn’t press the subject, but she gave a light explanation as to the ‘war’ that was going on between them. It was built up mainly from pranks, which made Lucinda scoff. That’s all James and her did…pranks. She smiled at Kat’s enthusiasm to the idea of Lucinda joining her side.

“Oh you bet,” she chimed. “Never will he bother you again once he sees what I have in store. All thanks to the curtsey of James, mind you. Even if I don’t like it, he’s the master.” She shrugged as she finished her own little story of James Potter and Kat just laughed. Her next statement took her off guard.

“Oh! No…I meant as friends…a perfect pair of friends…” she couldn’t help but blush nonetheless. “Besides, I doubt he thinks that of me.” That wasn’t necessarily true, but she couldn’t be sure. She buried her face in her hands and laughed.[/size]

Kathie smiled gratefully when Lucinda told her that she intended to give make Seth such a memory that he would never bother her again. She laughed amused at that thought, but she knew him wouldn't five up so easily.

"Thanks, it means a lot. "She grinned mischievously. "Then perhaps you could join my most recent plan..."

Kat laughed at the thought of her most recent plan to the obnoxious Reynard. He would regret what he have done on the last time they unfortunately had been together. She then focused on Lucinda's words about James and giggled amused when she saw the softy pink tone on her checks.

"Oh really?" She teased. "Ok, I will believe on you but only this time..." She joked.

”Oh! You have a recent plan? I’m intrigued…” Lucinda winked again. Planning things with Kat made everything all the more fun. This Seth character was in for a rude awakening, to be sure. She would give him a piece of her mind. “Nobody messes with my Kat. Unless it’s me, of course.” She smiled teasingly at her friend.

Kat clearly didn’t believe her - about the James Potter situation. It was true that they had been best friends since they could walk, and their relationship only kept growing. Maybe it was becoming something a bit more? She couldn’t tell. As far as she knew and felt, they were best friends. She always did wonder if James felt any differently…

“Really,” she insisted. “Just very good friends. Look what he does to me! Always pulling pranks and such. I’m his prime target.” She rolled her eyes just thinking about it, but couldn’t help but to blush nonetheless.

She glanced around at the crowds of people. The groups seemed to be thinning as the students began to head outside to explore the other stores. This was a comfort, more or less, because Lucinda was never fond of crowds. Things began to settle down around them, making it more comfortable to breathe.[/size]

Kathie grinned mischievously when she noticed her friend interest for her plan. She laughed at Lucinda's joke about she could be the only person to mess with Kat and lowered her voice, so then only Lucinda could hear her.

"You see, I need to make something huge... Something that won't make me get caught, but mainly something that Reynard will be really pissed off." She started. " At the beginning I thought in using against him some of my secret joke stuff, but he won't be deceived for that... I need just something brilliant." She said, diving on her own thoughts for some seconds.

Kat remained silent while she explained her friendship status with James and smiled. They seemed, indeed, to be good friends and the thing about the pranks they pulled to each other was rather funny.

"Ok.. Ok.. I believe you." She said truthfully. " Hey, maybe you could steal some James Potter mastermind and we could use it against Reynalds" She joked. No matter how good this boy could be, no one.. but really no one could bet Kathie and Lucinda on her pranks.

Lucinda bent in, listening to Kat’s evil plans. Well, evil might be an overstatement, but she liked to consider it as such. Kat wanted something huge, and Lucinda was all for that. She nodded at points here and there, acknowledging them properly. Apparently this Seth Reynard was hard to get back, and she wondered what exactly he did to Kat in order to deserve such a punishment. Her grin grew wider and wider.

“I like this…” she said slowly, biting her lip in anticipation. “Steal some ideas? I might as well just steal James himself for solely this purpose! He would know just what to do - his evil mind works like that. I bet I could get him to help out if I asked him to. He couldn’t pass down a good prank opportunity, ever. He could probably take him one handed, no lie. But what fun is that for us?” She grinned. This Seth Reynard was in for it.[/size]

Kat saw the grin on Lucinda's face and laughed for herself when she heard her answer. Well, if she would be able to get the boy to help them, then it would be really useful. Then, suddenly, one thought crossed Kathie's mind. Perhaps there were something else she should tell about Reynard...

"That would be wonderful, Lucinda. One pro to help us... "She joked. "But there is something I should tell you first about Reynard... You know the problem is that... he is... Me and him we are...We are both Hufflepuffs. He is at the same house as me." She finished, looking at Lucinda to see her reaction.

Kat seemed pleased with Lucinda's answer, but became a bit unnerved. She slowly explained that Seth was in the same House as her - Hufflepuff - and Lucinda couldn't help but to feel her jaw drap. A Hufflepuff?!?! She was expecting a Slytherin, even a Raveclaw maybe. Not ever a Hufflepuff.

"Um...I - wow. A Hufflepuff?" she said, composing herself. "Sorry, I don't mean there is anything wrong with them! I just wouldn't have thought..." she trailed off, leaving the rest of her sentence hanging. "This changes everything. We'll have to be more conspicuous - if you get caught, the consequences for Hufflepuff would be more drastic than before."

She suddenly perked up. "A challenge! This makes it all the more exciting. No more of that cliche 'let's get Slytherins.' We're dealing with our own kind..." The evil grin spread right across her face again, just at the notion. At least Kat knew what they were dealing with, and Lucinda now had a better idea.[/size]

Kathie saw Lucinda's expression changing immediately for surprise. She knew what she as feelling... Now just imagine myself when I found he, from all the people, had been sorted in the same house as me. She thought for herself.

"Yes, that sucks. I really need to set up a good revenge soon or else I might get insane and then... Let's just say it won't be pretty." She said thoughtful. "And you're right... he have really to think on something really good that won't get us caught."

Kat looked throw the window and smiled when one idea popped on her mind.

"Let's get some dirt in Mr Reynard..." She smirked evilly.

[James Potter]

James came out of the joke shop in Hogsmeade. He had a bag full of new pranks he wanted to try out on near by people. He looked down and saw his friend Lucinda. He ranned up to her and stopped in front of her and gave her a hug. Yes he knew he was taking chances of letting her know that he liked her a lot but now he didn't care a bit if she knew. He pulled back out of the hug with a smile no his face. "Hey Lucinda. What brings you to Hogsmeade today?" he asked her with a smile.

He turned to the girl next to him. "Hi there. I'm James Potter! May I ask you who you are?" he asked polietly. Sure this was not like him one bit but something odd was going on with him today. He already ran into a wall ten times and his nose looked like he had been beatened up. He didn't know what was wrong with him. He looked back at Lucinda wondering if she pulled a prank on him. Like pouring something into his pumpkin juice that morning.

Speak of the devil, James Potter came running in. He ran straight in her direction, and she nearly leapt off her chair. He hugged her, and she couldn’t help but to hug him back. It felt good, almost a secured feeling. He pulled back and she did so too. He had one of those smiles on his face that she loved so much. He asked her what she was doing in Hogsmeade, and she lifted an eyebrow.

“Can’t a girl go around with her friends?” she asked, teasing. “Besides, everyone else is.” James turned to Kat, and Lucinda guiltily forgot that she was there for a minute. James was a bit too polite, and Lucinda examined him slightly.

“This is Kathie Caldwell, the Hufflepuff friend I was telling you about the other day,” she said in introduction. “Kat, this is James Potter. James, what the hell did you do to your nose?” She couldn’t help but to chuckle at it - not just its form, but she had an idea of how it got in that condition.[/size]

Kathie stared amused at both gryffindors and somehow shocked. She tried her best to not laugh hysterically when they hugged each other and grinned while taking a slip of her drink, which made her chough.

"Hi there, James. Nice to meet you. "She said politely and amused at same time when she saw him presenting himself and then Lucinda presenting each other. "Do you need help with that thing on your head?" She said looking amused at his head.

How the hell had he done that? She looked again at her butterbeer and decided to dive again on it... Better than.. well, make a fool of myself if I start here laughing like a maniac

[James Potter]

James shook his head no and then decided to tell them. "I sort of walked into a wall thinking it was a door." he said with a small frown on his nose. He looked around a bit and wondered where they were at. "Um if you don't mind me asking but what shop are we at?" he asked them with a smile. "As you know me Lucinda you know I don't pay attention to signs unless it has the word prank in it." he said with a smile on his face.

James claimed that he had walked straight into a wall, mistaking it for a door. This made Lucinda laugh and she went up on tiptoes to examine is deformed nose. It was just a little red now. Good thing it hadn't bled or she would be on the ground right now.

"I decree that this injury in only minor," she teased, using a fake professional's voice. "However, you must be careful as to what are doors and what are walls, Mr. Potter." She winked and he asked which shop they were at, for he didn't read signs.

"You got that right," she muttered. "Three Broomsticks. Want a butterbeer? I can go get you one..." She had suddenly forgotten all about the mysterious man at the counter. She took a slow step back, waiting to see if he would object or join her.[/size]

Kathie shocked her head amused as she watched Lucinda and James talking. They were rather funny and they were cute together. Hum... perhaps I could make some matchmaker plan. She said for herself grinning.

"Well, do you want me to clean that bruise? I know one spell that might work but then you will still need to go to the hospital wing." She said to James.
