Zoe was becoming more and more angered by Andrea. Why couldn't Professor Daylor take his own detention? she thought angrily. Zoe got into position and held up the cross, to trap Adela. She thought about what was happening to her. She felt like she was becoming one of the dragons, short tempered and snappy. First, the incident with Lucius in The Three Broomsticks, now the argument with her younger cousin. She was normally just a calm, even tempered woman, but her patience had been tested to the limit.

Andrea just smirked knowing she was getting under her cousins skin but said nothing else about it and waited to continue with what they were doing. She knew she was wrong but it was her job, how she was raised and there was no way she was going to change that for any one person.

Zoe calmed her hatred for Andrea and waited for Lucinda to speak. She had been quiet for a while and Zoe wondered if there was something wrong. Adela roared and Zoe turned back to face her. She held up the cross and tried to force Adela into the cage. The dragon refused. "C'mon, Adela," she muttered," we're only trying to help." She tried again, but the dragon was getting more and more aggravated. Zoe didn't back down and advanced, slowly.

Lucinda watched the agrument cede as Professor Black - being the mature one out of the pair of relatives - stopped and put her attention upon the dragon again.
The dragon sure was putting up a fight and Lucinda wondered how best to get it in there. She thingyed her head to the side as she contemplated on how best to go about this business with getting mauled to death. She turned to Professor Black.
"Professor, what is the dragon's weakness?" she called so that her voice was audible through the roar. "Everything has a weakness, even dragons. But some species have different ones, don't they? So what is this one's?" She hoped she was making sense.

Zoe looked as Lucinda finally spoke. "It's eyes," she said, as an answer to Lucinda's question, "but it's nigh impossible to get to them without been eaten or burned. Why? Have you got any spells in mind?" Zoe backed away as the dragons foot got dangerously close to her. Keeping her eyes on the claws that were so close to tearing her foot in two, she help up the cross. The dragon hissed and backed away, closer to the cage.

It's eyes! Of course. Lucinda drew her wand in front of her.
"Lumos Maximus!" she said, pointing her wand upward. A blinding light shot from the tip - much brighter than a simple Lumos would do. The dragon was momentarily stunned by the bright light. She acted quickly as the dragon was momentarily distracted, shouting, "Incarcerous!" Ropes shot out of the lighted tip of her wand, making a direct hit upon the dragon. The impact of the ropes against the dragon was great enough to make it stumble, confused, backward. By this time, the dragon was half-way into the cage. She looked at Professor Black for assistance now.

Zoe shielded her eyes against the immense light. When here eyes had adjusted, she saw the dragon stumbling into the cage. "Nicely done," she said, impressed, "if it weren't for the fact that you were on detention, you would've earned some points for that..." Zoe pulled out her wand while the dragon was still dazed. "Aguamenti," she shouted, and a jet of water shot out of the end of her wand, knocking Adela into the cage. "...but I doubt the Headmaster would be very pleased with me if I gave you points while on detention," she said, continuing the sentence she had started. She flicked her wand and the door of the cage closed, with a loud, metallic clang. She rushed forward and locked chains around the door with a large heavy padlock. She turned to the two girls standing behind her. "Thankyou," she said to both of them, "and I think it's time for you to go back to your dorms."

Lucinda understood why she wasn't going to receive points, but she didn't really care. She just wanted to get out of there and back to the Gryffindor Common Room. When Professor Black announced that they could leave, Lucinda nodded thankfully.
"With pleasure," she said. "See you, Professor." Without a second glance or any acknowledgement of Andrea, Lucinda skipped away and out of the forest.

Andrea just watched the whole time, sort of amused...but more of in her own world that she was snapped out of it when she heard her cousins voice dismissing her. She nodded in acknowledgment to her and turned to leave but stopped and spun around, doing something she had never done to her before. "Professor?" She asked rather timidly, not knowing how she was going to react.

"Goodbye, Lucinda," Zoe smiled, and she turned back to face the cage. She heard another voice, and turned around. It was Andrea who had spoken. "Yes, Andrea?" She said, politely. She studied the girl with a slight interest. I would've thought Andrea would be the first to leave, the voice in her mind said.

She stepped back out of the shadows of the trees and back towards her cousin. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry...for everything." She said and waited for her response to it as she released the breath she had been holding.

Zoe's eyes opened wide for a split second. What the hell?! "That's quite alright, Andrea," she steadied herself, "thanks for apologizing." She turned back towards the dragon, a slight smile on her face, and she listened for the footsteps that symbolized Andrea's departure.

What she did next was unexpected...even to her. She ran over and gave her a hug before turning and heading back to the castle, she knew that it was not like her but the professor, no matter what, was her family and that was what made her even say anything in the first place.

Zoe stood there, stunned, as she watched Andrea run back to the castle. "Imperious curse?" She said to herself. She really was confused, but happy Andrea and changed her tune. Zoe turned back to the dragons cage, it was starting to regain it's senses now. "Locomotor cage!" Zoe said, and the cage lifted of the ground by a few inches. She magically carried it out of the Forest, heading towards the Courtyard where her friend had agreed to pick it up and take it to Transylvania.
