That evil little smirk came back, spreading wide across his face at the furious look of Daylor. He was always easy to anger, and often times Lucienn found it amusing. They both cast spells at the same time, making their wands do that annoying connection. Well, perhaps this could work in his favor. As Jerran was busy with the Dementors (making some odd heating effect), Lucienn send lightning bolts to continuously jab in the headmaster's direction.
The Death Eaters themselves were off defending themselves, more and more coming up from behind him from the depths and shadows of the forest. He rolled his eyes. "It's Kade, last time I checked. Isn't that right, sweetie?" He turned his cold face in the girl's direction, giving her a smile that meant no good. She looked absolutely terrified. Good.
"And good luck finding him," he said over the spells, and he suddenly gave a hearty cackle. "Just like in school, dear Brendan. Always thinking yourself higher than others. Spare me? I think not. If anything, it might be the other way around, if I am in the mood for clemency." He flicked his wand up and Apparated. He did not go away though. Instead, he Apparated to different parts of the circle they formed in the clearing, casting Crucio and other terrifying spells in all directions but able to Apparated before any of theirs could actually hit him. He was fast. [/blockquote]

All hell seemed to break loose at that moment. Daylor and the Dark Lord were duking it out in the near distance, while a swarm of Dementors came gliding ominously in their direction. If her eyes went any wider, she swore they would have just fallen out. Jerran told her to stick close, and she had absolutely no objection whatsoever. Her father was right...she had no idea what he did during his Auror years. Now she knew and wished she didn't.
The shield Jerran put on her was seeming to prove its worth, and she watched as some heating sensation singed the Death Eaters. They looked furious too as they all charged in rage. More and more came from the trees, which only made her heart race a million times faster. She whimpered slightly at the sight, and she suddenly felt helpless. What the hell?!
The Dark Lord addressed her and she felt all the blood drain from her face. 'Good luck finding him.' What the hell did that mean? Was he here or not? Why were adults so confusing all the time? They couldn't just say flat out whether or not something was there or to be, but they had to make it so that it could be swayed either way. Deciding that now was not the best time to argue with herself, she ducked to avoid shooting spells as the Dark Lord Apparated in all directions, too quick for even her eye to follow. It gave her a headache, so she stopped trying to watch him and kept her eye on Jerran.
She heard a twig snap behind her and she whirled around to be faced with two more Death Eaters. "J-J-Jerran!" she stammered, keeping her wand extended but moving backward slowly. Leave it to her to trip and fall. At least this time it was over a loose root, not her own two feet. She fell hard on her back with a small gasp, using her elbows to support her back up.

"LUCINDA."Jerran said. He protected himself with the spells that fired the Dark Lord as he turned around knocking the Death Eaters out. "Brendan she is out."Jerran said. "I can't hold her like she needs to be taken care of."Jerran said. He made a phoenix appear as he put her up on it. "Go and fly up but don't get hit by anything this medaillon with a shielding charm would protect you and Lucinda Phoenix."Jerran whispered. "Now go fly and you can do a light to stop Dementors."Jerran whispered. He protected the Phoenix to stop the dementors as the Phoenix started to fly up in the air with Lucinda to protect her. It was his own phoenix that helped him.

Brendan watched as the phoenix would not leave. "No use. He's blockaded the area. No use of flying out." He said trying to deflect Cruciatus curses. Then Brendan realized. He knew exactly where Lucinda's father was. "Rennervate" He pointed his wand at Lucinda. She was now no longer confused. "Quickly let's go!" He grabbed Lucinda and Jerran's arm and spun. He was no somewhere different. "Your father is here. Let's find him and quick!" Luckily the Dark Lord did not know where they left to.

The Dark Lord was nowhere to be found. Where did he go? That just made her all the more nervous, all the more jumpy. The Death Eaters advanced, more and more coming from nowhere. How could there be so many? Something told her that this was only a fraction of what this Dark Lord conjured up. Just brilliant. Jerran wouldn't be able to hold much longer, which would just doom them all in the end. Slightly panicking now, she jabbed her wand in the air, saying, "Petrificus Totales!" The spell she learned in Defense Against the Dark Arts proved to be effective when one of the Death Eaters froze. The other just laughed. She didn't like this laugh.
"Little girl knows how to play," he cackled, but whatever else he had to say was lost when Jerran got rid of him and his other partner. Out of nowhere, a Phoenix arrived. Jerran was giving it instructions, but she couldn't hear them. Then Brendan said something about it being no use. What was no use? She prayed that he wasn't giving up. She was hit with something and became utterly confused as she was knocked to the ground. Daylor did some movement with his wand and she was back on her feet. Great, now she had a headache. She didn't even have time to think before Daylor grabbed her arm and Jerran's, Apparating them to who knew where.
Boy did she hate Side-Long Apparation. Never would she subject somebody to it unless they were about to die. She was used to it a bit by now, but she balanced herself when they landed in some dark vicinity. They were in some sort of cave, and Daylor said that her father was in here somewhere. Excitement washed over her, pumping energy through her to keep her motivation to find him. She perked up and waited for her eyes to adjust to the dimness. She wanted to call out so badly but she figured that might be a bad idea. Instead, she plunged ahead into the darkness, annoyed by the fact that she couldn't see anything. She flicked her wand, saying, "Lumos." Another useful spell taught in class some time ago, a small path was illuminated for her by her wand. There wasn't much but grimy walls.
A small groan was heard from the depths of the cave, but then there was a thud and all went silent. Footsteps came in their direction from somewhere further down, and Lucinda immediately put out her wand, backing away slowly until she hit Jerran. A couple of Death Eaters would be no match for Jerran and Daylor, right?

Brendan looked at Lucinda. "Come here next to me." He took her arm and pulled her gently next to him. "Keep close." Just then he pointed his wand up above him. "Homenum Revelio!" Just then there were 3 shadows which belonged to the three of them but up ahead he saw another. "Revelio Manerte!" Brendan was able to see through the wall and saw Lucinda's father. No one was around except a cerberus guarding it. "Lucinda remember how I taught you how to rid of cerberus. Try now! It is guarding your father."

Jerran looked to Brendan and to Lucinda as he heard what Brendan said. "Do it Lucinda I trust in you."Jerran said. He looked to Brendan and knocked his head for a agreement.

She was tugged to Brendan's side, not really aware of what was happening at the moment. She had the sense that her father was in here somewhere, and how Brendan knew where to look was beyond her. Still, she felt almost joyous with the fact that they had, perhaps, finally found him. Daylor performed a spell she knew now thanks to Defense Against the Dark Arts class. She now pulled herself into full awareness, but her task made her eyes go wide in almost horror.
"W-what?" she stammered. They wanted her to go near this...this...monster of the underworld? Learning about them in class was all fine, but when it came to reality, she was not so sure. She looked at the two men as if they were nuts, but Jerran told her that he trusted her, even though she wasn't so sure herself. She gulped and nodded, turning back toward the darkness the loomed overhead and in the back of this cave. She took a deep, shaky breath, and headed toward the wall of the cave to avoid the menacing shadows of multiple figures headed in the direction of Jerran and Daylor.
There was no real way of ridding a Cerebrus though, was there. She was beginning to panic slightly, which happened often when she was trying to remember something important. damnit. What was it? Music...she remembered that they could be put to sleep instantly through music. The three-headed beast looked up at her small footsteps and growled menacingly. She gasped slightly but tried to shake it off in order to think of how to best approach the situation. Thinking fast, she began to hum. She felt extremely idiotic for doing so, but she wasn't exactly advanced in the art of producing music from her wand, only defensive mechanisms.
She grew more confident as she traveled up to the dog, who was beginning to grow drowsy. She lit her wand to light her way, and eventually he was asleep, and she found the disfigured form of her father sprawled beside it. She walked slowly toward him, his face unrecognizable. She couldn't exactly tell if he was breathing or not, but her first concern was to get him away. Ignoring the blood, she grabbed him, eyes watchful of the snoring dog. Never had she thought of her humming as something effective. She slowly dragged the body with some obvious effort, seemingly relieved that she had finally got to him. HOwever, she ended up tripping and stumbling backwards with a small yelp. Her humming ceased, and the next thing she knew, there was a terrible roar from the beast.
She stumbled backwards and her wand went from her hand. It was quickly retrieved by another, but she didn't notice until the wand was deliberately tapped on the ground. She looked up to find Kade Chaplin, standing with obvious effort. She couldn't tell what exactly he did, but she did remember that the Ceberus was more fond of the hot natures than cold, and the ground became colder still. Her wand was then pointed at the dog itself. Nothing was said, but the dog staggered and fell right back asleep. What the hell had he just done?

Jerran heard something as he entered the room looking to Lucinda. "Good job Lucinda you made it asleep."Jerran whispered. He then walked to her father but felt some kind of spell around him. "Brendan this one is cursed we need to undo it."Jerran said. "We need to work as a group."Jerran said. He made ear-puffs appear so the Ceberus couldn't hear anything.
