After Miranda: A Serenity RPG
It is the year after the incident on Miranda, things are starting to go back to normal for Captain Malcolm Reynolds and Crew. River is seemingly getting better from the whole thing. She is still having fits but she has been hiding them from the rest of the crew.
Simon and Kaylee are enjoying their relationship. Simon is still doing his work in the infirmary. He and River have officially been considered crew. Simon and Kaylee are also married now and are expecting their first child which they haven't told the crew about.
Mal and Inara are in the starting throws of a relationship but they are still trying to work around Inara's job and what Mal does for a living. Zoe is still mourning the death of Wash. River has taken Wash's place as pilot but she never touches the dinosaurs on the helm.
Jayne is still behaving like Jayne but he doesn't change so the crew just kind of deals with it. The crew is taking jobs as they can get them. Mal and Zoe are working on getting some new contacts for the ship.
River's fits start to grow worse and worse but she continues to hide them finding reasons to leave the room when she feels one coming on. She won't talk about what happened at the academy still and avoids any topic that may lead to the academy. The thought of it still upsets her and she doesn't like to remember what they did to her.
Mal is starting to notice the changes in his crew, Zoe's silence about her husband who he knows she's not over yet, Kaylee and Simon sneaking around, Kaylee's illness, or what he thinks is an illness, the awkwardness between he and Inara for the general fact that she is still a companion. Mal is also considering taking on some new crew and passengers to keep everything kind of evened out.
