The dark, dank dungeons of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was one of the most vilest places on campus. It was infested by rats, bats and all kinds of night-dwelling creatures which he'd scared away with the torches he'd lit on the walls. It even held a certain stench to it, with the faint hint of sewege. But it was perfect for Lucius as he stood in the middle of the room, an old wooden table in front of him. Having given Adalia detention was a sure way to send a message to the other students: Mr. Malfoy knows best.
For once, he's in a more casual form wearing a regular emerald green dress robe with his long, platinum blonde hair tied back with an emerald ribbon. He has his wand in his hand and with a slight flick of his wrist, he summoned three large, black cauldrons, each with a degree of filth. He planned on making her clean all three cauldrons while giving her a stern talking to. She would learn to respect the rules as long as Lucius Malfoy was around.

Addy trooped down the corridor not looking forward to what was going to be thrown at her but still it had to be done. She had used the agurment 'what's the worst he can do' but quickly dismissed it when she rememebered who she was dealing with. So she opted for just getting the detention over with and hope that she could keep her mouth closed long enough to get away with this one detention with Lucius.
It hadn't hit her until she stood outside the door where her detention was to be held that her brother was going to send her a howler if he ever found out. It was too much to hope for that little bit of luck that he never did. Groaning Addy raised her fist and knocked on the door before walking in and held back another groan when she saw the three cauldrons then Lucius who a lot different when he wasn't dressed in his stuffy robes.
"Good evening sir, I'm ready for my detention" Addy declared curtly never looking away from the professor.

Lucius notices how Adalia keeps eye contact with him and he nods to her, respectfully as he said he would. It was an act that may have surprised Adalia, but Lucius was in a rather good mood this night. He'd received word from Narcissa that she had a lead on the whereabouts of the Dark Lord. The time of the Death Eaters was at hand, but he wouldn't make mention of that to Adalia. She was just a mere student, after all. Instead, he motioned towards the three cauldrons on the table.
"You will clean this cauldrons, Miss Addison."
He walked over towards the side of the table, and pointed to a chair across the room.
"Accio."
The chair slid across the room to him and he sat down, calmly crossing his legs and folding his arms as he stared intently at Adalia.
"Well, what are you waiting for, child? Get to it."

Addy nodded, at least Lucius didn't yell at her for looking him in the eye, she thought as she moved over to the cauldrons pushing the sleeves of her robes up and frowning at the cauldrons. Hiding the smirk she turned to Lucius with a frown deeply etched upon her brow "Sir I plan to carry out my detention to the best of my skills but I was just wondering what am I to use to clean out these cauldrons... using my hands wouldn't really be that affective would it" Addy asked innocently not daring to smile nor look away from the professor.

"Oh really? I believe your hands would be perfect. After all, detention was far worse in my day. But I'm not a neanderthal, I will provide you with a cleaning utensil."
With a swish of his wand, Lucius summoned a small, wooden brush and levitated it over towards Addy, allowing it to fall onto the table in front of her. He knew it was insufficient for cleaning the cauldrons, but was it he who'd convinced Adalia to wander near the Forbidden Forest when she cleary wasn't supposed to? And even though she hadn't exactly entered, Lucius knew she was surely about to. He leaned back in his chair.
"Miss Adalia, continue with the cleansing of the cauldrons please. I'd like to see my face gleaming in them."

Addy couldn't help it, she couldn't bite her tongue any longer. Gathering the cleaning tools she glanced at Lucius and offered him a small smile. "Thank you professor... but I'm afraid that you won't be able to see your face in these cauldrons as their black, nothing reflects off of their surfaces beside light" Addy offered clenching her teeth together once she had finished to stop from grinning knowing she wasn't going to get a mild mannered response

"That is quite enough out of you, Miss Addison!" boomed Lucius Malfoy, hopping to his feet and quickly closing distance between himself and Adalia until the only thing that seperated them was the table and the cauldrons. Even then, his hatred seemed to reach every inch of the dungeon as his rage consumed him and he spoke in a low, dangerous whisper.
"Understand, Miss Addison, that I am the teacher and YOU are the bratty little student! Understand, Miss Addison, that I choose voluntarily to make myself useful at Hogwarts and I don't have to lend my services! Understand, Miss Addison, that with my power and influence, I could have you expelled from Hogwarts just from giving me a funny look! And understand, Miss Addison, that I have had enough of your snide little remarks and the next time you have a nasty little comment, you keep it to yourself or I'll be forced to discipline you myself! Do...I...make...my...self...clear?"
With that said, his rage subsides as he quickly gains his composure, embarassed that a mere student managed to get the best of him. He placed his hands behind his back as he circled around the table and stood behind Adalia. Towering over the girl, he felt as if he could reach out and end her life right this instance. No one would be around to hear her screams, no one would discover it was him. All in due time...for now, he'd play their little game. He leaned forward until he was inches away from her ear.
"Now, how about we get these cauldrons spotless? I'd hate to have to keep you down here all night simply because you failed to complete one little task."

Though Addy was very tempted to make one more remark she was smart enough not to annoy Lucius any more, the very fact that he was looming over her just a few seconds before made her want to jump out of her skin for a split second. Simply nodding she turned and began cleaning the first cauldron however despite her self she couldn't help but hum the muggle song 'off to work we go' in her head and soon used it to set her pace. After a few seconds she dared to stop and glance at Lucius biting off the remark she wanted to make and instead asked.
"Sir would I be able to remove my robe?" not waiting for his outburst at her halt in working she carried on scrubbing awating his reply

Lucius nods. Now she was displaying the proper respect he demanded with his students. If his own son didnt get disruptive with Lucius Malfoy, there was no way some girl would be allowed to. She was lucky she wasn't in Slytherin or a family; she would've been in considerable pain from a sharp jab with Lucius's staff. Now, he regretted leaving it in his office. Turning his attention back to Adalia, he nods, approving of her taking off her robe before returning to his chair and sitting. Then, he folded his arms and stared intently at Adalia before finally speaking up.
"While you're doing that, I believe you owe me a brieft, yet detailed, reason of why you were so intent on venturing into the Forbidden Forest."

Addy removed her robes and pushed the sleeves of her school shirt up, she threw a glance towards Lucius and raised her eyebrows.
"With all due respect sir... I had no intentions of going into the forest. I was simply trying to discover what was so scary about it. For the past six years I haven't been in the wizarding world so I'm interested in some of the great interests especially when it comes to Hogwarts" Addy told him before she went back to her cleaning knowing this detention was going to be long.

A filthy mudblood....it took everything in Lucius' reserve to not spit on the ground. The thought of him conversing with a half-blood all this time...other Death Eaters would've done away with her a while ago. It seemed his position at Hogwarts was more hindering than helping for all he's gotten for his services so far was a migraine from the disobedient children. Nevertheless, he kept his gaze unbiased as he listened to her claim she wasn't actually going into the forest. Upon hearing that, Lucius chuckled to himself.
"Do you take me for a fool, girl? I know for a fact that if I wasn't there, then you would have went into that forest and Hogwarts would've had a situation on its hands. I'm sure Headmaster Daylor would've had lots of fun locating your dismembered body...that is, if he could get it away from those creatures. So, tell me what you REALLY planned to do, or I might be tempted to give you some Veritaserum and force the answer from you."
That wasn't a threat, it was a statement. Lucius Malfoy was no fool, he knew what she planned on doing and if he hadn't come otu at the time he did, she might have witnessed his fight with the centaur. That would've been very...unpleasant. For her, at least.

Addy stopped cleaning and stared at Lucius unwilling to gape at him. "I answered your question truthfully sir... I wanted to see the forest but I had no intention on going in there... it's dangerous and as a student I could be hurt you pointed that out when you gave me this detention" Addy exclaimed before turning to face the unreasonable man.
"And no sir I don't take you for a fool... I would be a fool myself to think that, you don't have to be some experience witch to understand the power you have sir" Addy all but spat not caring anymore.
"And with all due respect sir, how would the headmaster feel or the other parents if used Veritaserum without the headmasters consent or the ministries?" Addy demanded staring straight at Lucius.

Once again, Lucius felt the blood boiling as he kept his tight-lipped expression and his eyes bored into Adalia's. He stood slowly, placing his hands behind his back and slowly approached her, only stopping a few inches from her. He leaned in close to make sure she could hear him correctly.
"You are obviously mistaken about my position here, Mrs. Addison. I am not bound by the rules of Headmaster Daylor for I am NOT a professor. Out of the kindness of my heart, I volunteered to help out around Hogwarts. This school would be in shambles if it weren't for me here. And as far as using Veritaserum, I suggest you're right. Then again, why use Veritaserum? There are much more painful ways of getting the information I seek...."
A cold voice in her ear. Lucius no longer cared about being civil...he wanted her to know how much he loathed her and her friend Lucinda. With a simple wave of his wand, the cauldrons were cleared away as he turned to her and gave her the best smile he could manage.
"I believe you have learned your lesson, though your attitude needs much improvement. Return to your house, Miss Addison for the night and if I catch you near the forest again without staff consent, I'll let the Headmaster deal with you directly. And you won't be wanting that."
With a dismissing nod, Lucius turned away from her, walking over to douse the flames. He'd done all he'd wanted to do, and that was let her know that she had no power to do as she wished with around. It was either his way, or no way and she would have to get used to that.

Snatching up her robes Addy glared at Lucius, she managed to jam her arms into her robes before she straightened up and smiled brightly at Lucius. "Of course I understand SIR, thank you again SIR and I promise you will never catch me near the forest again" Addy promised still smiling holding back her tempter knowing that she should be grateful she was getting out of the dungeon in one piece.
