Alecto had yet to make an appearance, though she had been around the school for a while. Though it was okay, for she was feeling particularly patient these days. Today was the day of her grand unveiling, and she hadn't even wanted to visit the Great Hall or other public place. Instead, she decided to visit the Boy's Bathroom.
She stood within the entrance way, noting the overall unhygienic conditions. The stalls were falling off their hinges, the sinks were chipped and dirty, and plaster had fallen from the ceiling and smashed onto the damp floor. Alecto wrinkled her nose in disgust. This was almost repulsive.
Alecto walked over to the sinks and turned on all the taps. She wondered how long it would take before the drains clogged and the sinks began to overflow. It'd be a kind of plaster swamp in here! Smiling to herself, she took a step back to admire her handiwork. Perhaps she should kick down some of the stall doors and create ramps over the urinals for when she decided to release the Dungbombs.
That's when she heard the door open behind her.

She should be studying, she knew this, but she was unmotivated to do so. Instead, she decided to go on a refreshing stroll. Nothing like clearing the head with a relaxing stroll around the castle. She didn't even care where she went, but instead she allowed her footsteps to carry her on her way.
The corridors were mostly empty except for a few passerby. This pleased Lucinda, for she wasn't really in the mood for speaking to anyone. That's what she heard it - running water. Where was it coming from? Lucinda looked in all directions, and to her horror, it was coming from the boys' bathroom. Water began to pour from underneath the crack in the door. She debated on whether or not she should tell the culprit to bugger off, and thought against it at first.
It was the odd noises coming from inside that stirred her curiosity. Without a second glance, she darted over to the door before anyone could see her. Slowly opening it, she peered inside and saw what a mess it was. Clearly the boys did not care for hygiene as much as girls, which was a slightly disturbing thought.
Her eyes moved from the broken stalls and chipped sinks to a Slytherin girl who seemed to be enjoying herself. So this was the miscreant behind the dirty deeds. Lucinda wasn't sure if she wanted to laugh or frown in disgust.
"What are you doing in here?" she asked, humor hinted in her tone. She kicked a floating piece of wood that had, no doubt, come from one of the dieing stalls.

And Alecto had thought this was a boys bathroom. Shouldn't males be in attendance here? She inspected the newcomer carefully. Well-kempt hair, nice robes, and a badge the color of scarlet. Her first acquaintance and it had to be a Gryffindor. Some may call it fate, but she found this as a minor inconvenience. Alecto shrugged and turned to face the sinks, the taps still running.
"I'm wondering if I should release my dungbombs now or later. Though of course now that you're here, I suppose I couldn't come across a more opportune moment."
She turned to smile at the girl. It was a cold and devoid of friendliness.
"We haven't had the chance of meeting before, I don't think. My name is Alecto."

The mystery Slytherin looked up at her and answered truthfully. She smiled a cold smile that indicated that friendship was out of the question. Lucinda didn't mind, though. She heard Slytherins made terrible friends anyway. Besides their malicious behavior, it is said that they turn against one another often. Practice for the Death Eaters, she imagined.
The girl identified herself as Alecto. Alecto Carrow? She couldn't say, for the girl didn't reveal her last name. Lucinda heard stories about Alecto Carrow, and they weren't the most charming of tales. Great, she was mingling with a future murderer.
"Lucinda," she said, introducing herself, since they were on the first name basis. "As to the dungbombs, go ahead. I was on my way out, anyway. Just came to see what was going on in here." She turned to leave, trudging through the water. So much for avoiding trouble.

Alecto watched as the girl turned to leave. She almost considered just letting her exit the room, but this was the first person she had chance to come across since her arrival at Hogwarts. This just wasn't the time for a disappointing experience with another Gryffindor.
"Now where do you think you're going?" Alecto demanded. "Do you realize what you are now? An accomplice. If you decide to leave this room, you are dirtying your hands of this crime. After you leave, it'll be your obligation to report me, and what would be the fun of that?"
She lifted the bag she had carried into the room. It bulged slightly, and Alecto pointed toward it with emphasis.
"You might as well help me. Whether you like it or not, you're hopelessly entangled in this endeavor, Lucinda."

Lucinda halted in her step as Alecto demanded as to where she was going. Lucinda turned slowly around as Alecto explained to her that she was now an accomplice. She claimed that Lucinda would rat her out, which was not true. She wasn't on good terms with most teachers, anyway. Lucinda lifted an eyebrow.
"I am not anything," she said. "If I wish to leave, I would do so. And while ratting you out seems a more proper way to handle things, I think not. I'm always in trouble with teachers anyway." She shrugged.
"If you really feel the need of a Gryffindor's help, then by all means, I'll join the party," she gestured toward the vacant bathroom. "It's not like I've had an opportunity like this in a long time, anyway. I'll probably get expelled, considering my record. Or at least another wonderful detention. Daylor hates me." Lucinda crossed the roomed to peer at the bag Alecto had. It moved.
"What the hell is that?" she inquired, straightening up again.

Oh, this was priceless. A Gryffindor who couldn't manage to stay out of trouble? Alecto's eyebrows raised and her skepticism was apparent. Even if this girl wasn't lying, it just further proved her point that Gryffindors were far too simplistic for trouble. They always seemed to get themselves caught.
"So you'd tattle on me if you could, but you're afraid you'd get in trouble?"
Alecto felt herself nearly laugh.
"Now that is hard to believe."
She held out the squriming sack toward Lucinda.
"I nicked some owls from the owlery. Hopefully they'll help to give this place a more.. er.. home-like feel. Besides, there are no better decoraters than owls. Go ahead, take the sack. They won't bite much. Open it slowly, you don't want your face to be the first they attack. Now explain to me who this Daylor is. You've attracted my curiosity, you see."
The floor by now was well slick with water. Alecto figured she'd allow at least two inches before she removed the taps altogether. Grinning to herself, she removed her wand from her robe. It was long, slender, and contained the heartstring of a sphinx. How micheiveous. She then conjured herself a stool for her to seat herself upon.
She watched Lucinda expectantly.

"Stop twisting my words around," Lucinda snapped. Alect was beginning to get on her nerves. "That's not what I said at all. I said that even if I left, I wouldn't go ratting you out. That's a bit low. I was merely stating the consequences, should we be caught." She shrugged.
Alecto handed Lucinda a sack full of...owls?! This confirmed her suspicions...Alecto was insane. Lucinda took the bag, but did not open it. The owls attempted to find means of escape, but Lucinda kept it shut. "I'd rather not." She held the bag at arms length. "You can release these foul, irritated creatures."
She set the back down as Alecto conjured up a stool for herself. She inquired as to whom Daylor was, and Lucinda was reluctant to tell her anything at first. Shrugging again, she leaned against the wall.
"Brendan Daylor is the headmaster," she explained. "Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, too. He's kind of strict and nothing ever gets passed him. It's slightly frustrating how he manages to catch me all the time in anything that I do. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on his way here, right now, to yell at me some more."
She surveyed the destroyed bathroom. Yup, detention for sure. She thought about leaving, but she technically had done nothing wrong - yet.
