Can't sleep (Lucius Malfoy)

Alexis James couldn't sleep that night. She was so excited to be at the school at last. Dressed in her pajama's and her hair pulled back into a pony tail she decided to explore the castle. Late at night which she knew she could get into trouble for being out pass curfew but being so excited she couldn't help it. She didn't like the sound of just sitting by the fire until she got tired or read a book. She wanted to go exploring. Well long the way she lost her way around the place. She wondered how long she would be this way.

As she looked at wonderful pictures along the way. All of them whom were sleeping. A few of them yelled at her to put down her wand which she had found out how to light it up. She kept it to the floor just so they wouldn't yell at her again. She also loved the fact that she practically had the whole school at the present moment all to herself. She stopped at a picture that caught her eye for a minute. Pretty soon she heard footsteps and quickly rushed into the next room she came up too and it turned out to be an empty classroom. She bit her lip for a minute. There was no place to hide.

What was with the students? They wouldn't stay in bed after hours, they went wandering around the Forbidden Forest alone, sneaking into the Shrieking Shack....there was nothing short of expulsion Lucius could think of to keep them all in line. He'd been unable to sleep, eagerly awaiting word from Narcissa and Draco about the whereabouts of the Dark Lord. Lucius was eager to find the Dark Lord, so that he may rid himself of his teaching duties and become a full-time Death Eater. And his first target? The students of Hogwarts. He walked calmly as she darted into what she thought was a passage way but Lucius knew it was a mere classroom. So he didnt rush when he finally cornered her, his usual stern expression on his face. He spoke in a low, even tone, not wanting to waste any precious energy chastising yet another Gryffindor.

"You know what I hate the most? Nosy little Gryffindor girls who can't learn to stay in bed after hours. So, what's your excuse for being out so late? And it better be a good one, I don't think Gryffindor can afford to lose any more house points."

He waited impatiently for her reply.

Alexis turned on the spot with a surprise look on her face. House points? she scurried her brain wondering what the heck they were again. Then her eyes brightened up a bit when she finally reallized that they were points that you earned for being good. But taken away if you were bad. How in the world did she forgot that already she didn't know the answer. She smiled at Profosser Malfoy with a sly looking grin. She didn't have time for a prank but then again she wasn't in the mood. Now however she was glad she did not. He seemed to be one of those kind who don't want to mess with.

Racking with her mind to come up with a good reason she closed her eyes but in an instant she knew she would probably get a detention and it would be with him. But then she knew something that might work. "I was looking...looking for you." she said as her brain was rushing with ideas. "I um well okay I wanted to know more about Dueling magic?" she looked at him with an innocent look. Better go with that tactic than anything I think! she thought to herself. If I get away with no detention I'll be surprised! she added to her thought.

If ever there was a time where Lucius Malfoy was confused...without the aid of the Confundus Charm...it was now. Looking for him? No one ever went looking for him. Everyone at Hogwarts aside from the headmaster and his teacher partner held a strong dislike for him. And yet, this silly little girl was looking for him. Didn't she realize how much danger she could be in? After all, Lucius was a "former" Death Eater, and he had no problem disposing of troublesome students. And every inch of his being told him she was lying. Yet, he wanted to see where this would lead. If things got too ridiculous, he'd be inclined to wack her over the head with his cane.

"Looking for me, dear child? Couldn't you have waited until class for any questions you may have? According to the rules, I should give you a detention and deduct house points for this misdemeanor. And what might you be wanting to ask me?"

Lucius waited to hear her answer.

Alexis looked at him and then frowned a bit. Now she knew she would probably be in for it. She gave him a small frown. "I just wanted to know if you had any well tips on...um..." she started to say still trying to rack her mind for the rest of the question. She looked over at a white bored for a minute to think some more before she finished the question. Oh why is this hard for me all of the sudden. I could use to do this in my sleep. she thought to herself. She looked back at the Professor for a minute. "I just wanted to know what time class starts?" she asked him with a small smile. Well she did forgot what the time of class had started. And she of course didn't want to be late.
