The Weather outside was rather stormy. Lightening was flashing and thunder was crashing and everyone knows that is best to stay indoors. Well mainly one did not. He most likely to find himself outdoors no matter what the weather was like. He loved rain and he loved the storms. He didn't really care if the weather outside was snowing down snow. James Potter however was soaking wet to the bone. Water was dripping from his hair to the floor as he was walking into the Entrance Hall. He had forgotten his homework in Herbology that had gotten canceled in the middle of class.
"Great I'm soaked from head to toe." he said with a playful smile. At the present moment he was coming up with an idea to pull a prank who walked through the Great Hall doors. He quickly set it up too. He had grabbed a bucket of water and figured out how to get it to stay up on the doors. And then when someone opened the door they would get soaking wet just like him. He hopped that it would work. He would be glad if it did work. Sure it was a muggle trick and it was one he hasn't played in along time.

George curiously eyed the teen before him. It couldn't be anyone but James Potter. He had Lily Potter's eyes, his sister Ginny's gait and body structure, and Harry's unruly tuft of black hair. George crossed his arms, observing James as he put a metal bucket atop of the Great Hall doors, obviously hoping someone would walk under it and get drenched. How hopelessly unoriginal, George mock-sighed. Under the circumstances, he would have bewitched the doors to squirt water at passerby.
But he was, again, a teacher.
He took a few steps closer to James, intending to knock the water bucket atop the hapless boy. James was unaware, of course. George walked, quietly and quickly, before...
"Boo," George whispered eerily into James' ear.

James jumped a bit when he heard his Uncle's voice. "Ahh!" he screamed a bit. He turned around with a smile on his face. "Okay I know what you will probably say to me." he said with a smile on his face. "That this trick so mugglish and pathetic but for the time being it is one I could come up with on the spur of the moment. It just came to me." he said with a smile on his face.
He looked at his uncle with a smile for a minute. "Besides you have always told me before that when a prank comes to your mind do that prank anyways!" he said with an index finger in the air. "Or was it someone else who said that to me?" he asked with a questional look on his face. He wasn't sure but he knew someone told him that. He was at the present moment confused who said that. "Oh well doesn't matter does it?" he said with a small smile.

George laughed as James jumped a bit, a bit scared. But before long, James was his usual self, trying to explain why there was a bucket of water on the lip of the doorway. However, this explanation was different from James' typical ones. Mostly because James never told George lies - he learned long ago that George could see through anything he could possibly come up with.
"So what if it's Muggle... ish... that's not a word," George murmured to himself. "But so what? If it's funny, it's funny. And yes, I did tell you that long ago." George shrugged as he stared lovingly at the bucket. It was a rusty piece of work.
"You know, I think a herd of third years are coming in," George noted. "We might want to make ourselves scarce. It would be bad if someone found us staring at a bucket that doesn't belong here..."

James smiled a bit with a smile. "I think you're right!" he said with a smile and quickly but quitely walked to the nearest broom closet. Why did I pick a broom closet? he thought to himself. He wondered why he did that and wasn't sure why. But he smiled to himself and peaked out. It wasn't suspious that the broom closet was open a jar knowing that the care taker usually leaves it open a jar by mistake most of the time or he was just lazy on shutting it so it was the perfect spot to see all the action.

George ended up squished into the corner of the broom closet. George was only too used to the dank atmosphere in such places; he and Fred used to practically live in broom cupboards, hiding from Filch. George wondered suddenly who the new caretaker of Hogwarts was, but stopped when he noticed that James was making a concerted effort to make the door look ajar.
"Of course," George grinned, his voice barely above a whisper. "Now quiet. We don't want to be caught here, not with a water pail dangling above... wait a second..."
George stared out. The bucket was gone. "...Did you move the bucket?"

James looked out and then looked back at his uncle. "No I didn't did you?" he asked his uncle. He then looked around the place and then looked up a bit. "But we have to be careful Uncle George. The bucket is now on this door." he said pointing up. He didn't want to get even more drentched. Now he had to find a broom to push the door open. He finally found one after looking around for a few minutes with the little light they had. He held the broomstick and pushed open the door and the bucket of water fell down with a splash. He put the now wet broom away and walked out of the closet. "That stinks. My prank didn't work so well." he said with a small frown on his face. "Well it just means I have to work harder at it."

George stared at the sopping wet James.
"How did the bucket get atop the supply cabinet?" George asked in mock perplexion. He was expecting James to catch his prank quickly, but it seemed the boy was more concerned with how the prank had failed. George didn't question it.
He shrugged as he stepped gingerly out of the broom cupboard, picking up the rolling bucket. With a quick flick of his wand, he dried James' clothing. "My guess is that Peeves moved it... while we were hiding..."
George pretended to fume, but the words coming out of his mouth were geniune: "I can't STAND that ghost."
