"No I haven't. I wish we were though. He seems very fastinating Professor Weasley." Alexis said with a smile on her face. She then thought about something. How would it be like to become an auror. Oh how proud would my parents be? But then I don't think they know what an auror is. I don't even know what they do? Oh my I'm glad I'm in my first year. I got six years to think about it. she thought to herself. "Um Professor Weasley but what extactly does an auror do?" she asked him with a small polite smile.

Alexis was starting to simmer down, as George could tell by the thoughtful look that now overtook her features. He half-expected her to finger her chin. Then she asked the question.
"What exactly does an Auror do?"
George put up another notice, and, without turning, he said, "An Auror catches Dark wizards, dead or alive. You have to pass a huge amount of tests to qualify, and once you qualify, there's no guarantee you'll live past your thirty-fifth birthday. But the rewards to society... are endless. The wizards need to be caught, you see."
George thought that maybe the Aurors should form their own army against Dark wizards, instead of having the Order do it for them. Then George recalled a time where all he and Fred wanted to do was join the Order - that was before they were 19, when they actually did join.
And Fred got killed for it.
George bit his lip, hoping his explanation was satisfactory.

Alexis looked at him with wide eyes. "That sounds like an dangerous job." she said with a small smile. She then reconsidered her thoughts for a minute. "I don't think I want to become an auror after Hogwarts anymore. I think I want to be a Professor like you." she said with a smile on her face. "You know to teach students to survive in this world." she said with a smile on her face. She knew though that she had six more years before she had to decide what she was going to do.

George couldn't help but laugh at Alexis' compliment. "Me? Teaching students how to survive? I teach Flying Practice. I appreciate the compliment, Miss James, but it's not a skill necessary for survival." He hoped he didn't sound too rude, but it was just... the way she said it, so earnestly... it made George crack up.
"But a Professor is a pretty good job," George admitted, looking at her as he tacked another notice to the wall. "...What kind of Professor, though? I mean, what classes are you good at?"

Alexis looked at him. "Ah but you see you are teaching us how to survive in a way. It depends on how look at it. You are teaching us how to fly properly and how to survive to fly in any kind of weather. Well not saying that you would but you are preparing us for things about flying that we need to know. And if I'm not wrong flying can be very dangerous." she said with a small smile. She then looked at him with a smile. "Now tell me you aren't teaching us how to survive while flying." she said with a smile on her face.
"Truth be told I'm not sure I'm good at any class. Not even yours I might add!" she said rubbing her forehead a bit. "It didn't hurt. It just stung me like a bee pretty much. But can I ask you one more thing. Who is Ron?" she asked with a smile on her face. She was curious. She had never heard any professor talk about their family life before.

George listened as Alexis justified her reasons for saying that flying lessons were essential to survival. Although, at first, she seemed to be confusing surviving with avoiding accidents, George soon understood what she was saying - there were different ways of surviving, and different definitions of necessary and futile. Useless and helpful.
George felt like he'd had an epiphany.
But he laughed as Alexis rubbed her head wearily, laughing at her self-admitted idiocy. But George didn't expect her to mention Ron. Who was he, she inquired? George grinned.
"Ron's my younger brother," George explained. "He's running the joke shop right now... my partner in crime, nowadays, anyway... It used to be my twin brother Fred." George shrugged. "He's an Auror, too. Part-time. Married to Ms. Hermione Granger - you probably know her; at one point she was primed to be Minister of Magic."

"Oh the guy who looks well nothing like you!" Alexis said with a small smile. She has been in their shop once. "And I've read about Fred. I'm sorry he had died. I think he would be a great person to get to know." she said with a small frown. She wasn't sure to what to think about that.
She looked at George for a minute. "You know there's a kid around here that is well almost always pranking around. And his name happens to be James." she said with a small frown on his face. "Why does he and how did he get his joy of pranking? I'm pretty sure it wasn't from his father at all." she said to him.

George grew silent as Alexis mentioned Fred. She seemed geniunely remorseful, but there was no way she could understand how much pain it brought him... even to this day. Telling a student how much his heart ached, though, would be extremely unprofessional.
"Well, depends on if you like me as a person," George responded to Alexis. His voice was a strange mixture of pity, sadness, and jest. "You probably would've liked Fred, though. In fact, I'm sure of it.
"As for James..." George bit his lip. "Are you speaking of James Potter? Because his father... Harry Potter, I'm SURE you know who he is... well, his father was a troublemaker, sure enough, but not a prankster. I think James got that from the Weasley side of his family."
George didn't mention that he was James' uncle. He wanted to see what else Alexis had to say about young Mr. Potter.
