Thinking (Headmaster Daylor)

[James Potter]

James had been thinking. He has been thinking a lot lately. He did not know why but he was thinking. He wanted to come up with a prank but couldn't come up with anything. He had had been to the library without Lucinda even knowing that he was in there. He had been researching everything that the Weasley Twins had done so he could get ideas and think how he was gonna pull it off. He saw that they had set a swamp in a middle of a corridor. And then he had an idea to pull but wanted to see if he could pull it off. He was now on the second corridor and was leaning against the wall. He was wearing blue jeans and a red hoodie with the hood down. His hair was a mess like usual. He was thinking how to make the Great Hall into a recupla of the Forbidden Forest.

[Headmaster Brendan Daylor]

Brendan, just coming back from a meeting at the Ministry, had stumbled upon the 2nd floor corridor and found James Potter a 1st Year Gryffindor, wandering around. Brendan checked his watch which it was only 2:54 pm so he had no rush.

"Mr. Potter, what brings you here? Off to your common room on the 5th floor?" Brendan could see that James wasn't. "You are just like your father when he was your age. Well I was a 4th year but..." He said commonly. He watched James as he stood there thinking.

James didn't hear the footsteps of the Headmaster. And when he heard the voice of his headmaster he jumped a bit. "Hi Professor didn't hear you coming!" he said with a smile on his face. Clearly he had been thinking too much. "What brings me here?" he asked a bit and then had to think a bit. "Nothing much but to learn magic." he said with a small smile regarding coming to the school in the first place. "But what brings me to this corridor well I thought I would look at these cool pictures." he said looking at an picture of a girl that is just staring at him with googily eyes. "And I don't really want to go back to the Common Room just yet." he said mainly because he didn't want to face his homework.

Brendan smiled and chuckled. "Oh James, you know no magic is allowed in the corridors remember?" He looked at the picture who was giving the google eyes. "Very... hm, well who knows why they put this picture here?" The picture glared at him "I heard that!" Brendan ignored the picture.

"So anyways, what really brings you hear James Potter?" He asked suddenly. James usually wasn't one to wander unless he was doing something for purpose.

James looked at him for a minute. I wonder if he thinks I want to do magic in the hallways. He looked back at the picture and then back to the Professor. "Do you think I'm up to something? Well just don't tell Lucinda I've been in the Library. That would really give her a heart attack. She usually has to drag me in there. But I found what I was looking for. I needed to find a book on Charms." he said with a smile as he looked at another picture. This one showed a guy in a metal suit.

Brendan looked at James awkwardly. What is a Potter doing in a library? Brendan looked to James. "Ja-- Sir Cadagan please go somewhere else. Go.. bother the Slytherins or something." The painting with Sir Cadagan strutted off through other paintings.

"Give Lucinda a heart attack really? You sound just like your father talking about Hermione Granger. She's your aunt isn't she?" Brendan hadn't seen her since the last Order meeting. 3 months ago!. "So James, I hear some teachers are saying you're finally keeping out of trouble correct? You doing well in Defense Against the Dark Arts no doubt."

James looked at him with a small smile. "Yeah Hermione is my Aunt. And I guess Lucinda is my Hermione." he said with a small smile. He never really thought about it that way before. Well until now. "Staying out of trouble I don't know but doing good in your class yeah of course." he said with a smile. "But I'm really am trying to stay out of trouble. It's trying to get to class on time is the hard part for me." he said looking at the professor.
