Practice[Open]

[Andrea Black]

Energetic was how Andrea was feeling at the moment and she didn't know why, she didn't have anything with sugar and she hadn't tried any different spells on herself either so why was she feeling like she could jump off of the castle and bounce back up? She knew she needed to lose all the energy she had and she had the perfect way how to do so.

She made her way to the room of requirements that Draco had told her how to find before she came to Hogwarts. She walked past a certain spot three times think 'I need somewhere to practice.' the whole time. She smirked when the door appeared and she walked through it making sure no one else was coming at the moment, she wouldn't mind if they showed up a little bit later but at that very moment wouldn't be such a great idea...well she didn't think so anyways.

The minute she got in something came flying at her ready to attack and she knew it was something the room had set up for her needs. She pointed her wand at the flying object and shouted in a clear and steady voice "Reducto!" She shouted and the object turned into and ash-like subject. She turned to her left and there was a fake person holding a wand...her worst enemies, the order of the phoenix. Smirking she had her wand focused on the dummy and tried to think of what spell to use next.

Alexis was walking around on the sixth floor. She happened to see a dark haired girl ahead of her pacing back and forth three times. Odd I didn't know there was a door there! she thought to herself as a door appeared out of no where. She then looked and saw that the door was still partly open. She smiled and slowly looked inside the room. Her eyes grew when she saw something turn into an ash-like substance. Wow this girl knows her stuff! she thought to herself. She decided she might as well walk into the room. Just to see what would happen. Alexis did not know that Andrea was a Deatheater and a pure blood. Lexi herself was a follower but not of the Death Eaters. She was more a follower to the Order of the Phoenix. And she was also a muggle-born. "Um sorry to interup your practice. I just couldn't help but watch you destroy whatever that thing was into ash-substance. My name is Alexis James. What's yours?" she asked her holding out a hand for her to shake.

She was still wondering what she would do next when she heard a voice and she saw another girl who looked like a first year as well. She smiled friendly enough but it was heard since she knew her as a Gryffindor. "Andrea Black, pleased to meet you Alexis." She said politely. She turned back to the dummy that had came out of nowhere. "Flippindo!" She shouted and it went flying backwards, she hadn't known she could still do that...it had been such a long time since she learn that spell...she was 5 and it was the first thing she was taught at that young of an age. She hadn't expected it to come back at her with it's 'wand' raised and it made her mad the thing wouldn't go away the first time "Expelliarmus." She said confidently and the wand went flying from its hand and she caught it in her own. "Stupefy." She said pointing her wand once more but nothing happened and she just ignored it. "You wanna try?" She asked Alexis.

Alexis looked at her with a small smile. "Sure what do you do?" she asked her with a small smile. She had no idea for one she was a muggle born and she was still learning these things. She looked at Andrea for a minute. "So what do you think of Hogwarts?" she asked her with a small smile. "I myself thinks it's a wonderful place. A place where I can call home. Not that my parents house isn't home but it isn't magical." she said with a small smile.

She smiled and stepped aside for the other girl "It's really simple, all you need is your wand really...well that and knowledge really." She told her "Just use whatever you've learned in classes or what I just did and attack the dummy." She said to her. She had never thought it possible but she was befriending a Gryffindor...she was actually talking with one and they weren't arguing. If she knew her blood and she was pure they probably could be the best of friends. "I love Hogwarts...almost everyone's really nice, the only problem I have is that I have some family working here...like Professor Malfoy, he's my brother in law but I call him Uncle Lucius even though his wife is my sister and then there's Professor Black who's my cousin, so I can't get away with much." She said on the verge of laughing. "But whatever, we're here to practice...we can play get to know you better some other time." She said being serious once more.

Alexis looked at a dummy with a thought. She didn't know much and she wasn't really sure what spell she would do. Then she flinched when she heard that she was related to Professor Malfoy even though she heard it from Lucinda herself. She then thought back to her Defense Against the Dark Arts book she had been reading at night and remembered there was a spell she wanted to try out. She took out her wand and then pointed it at a dummy near by and just plain clearly let out "Reducto" and watched the dummy blow up into pieces. She smiled a bit after that one. "Not bad but I could do better!" she said when she saw that there was still part of the dummy there.

She watched as she attacked and smiled at what she chose to use, she saw that it wasn't completely gone but it was her first try, she shook her head with a smile on her face still "No, no, no...you did really good especially on the first try, it took me a little over a year to perfect it and my first shot I didn't even get it that far." She said and shuddered at the thought of what her punishment for every time she failed was. "Here, you can try it again and don't worry about not getting it perfect...there will be plenty of time for that later." She said and watched as the dummy came back like nothing had just happened. "Ok and...now." She said and waited for her to attack it again.

Alexis smiled a bit. Then thought maybe she needed to sound more determind than before. Maybe it was her determination that was wrong with the spell but she wasn't sure. She looked at the dummy for a quite minute. And then when she pictured the person whom she hated the most she knew who exactly how it was gonna sound. She pictured Lucius Malfoy's face because she didn't like him much and she had a feeling that he didn't like her back. "REDUCTO!" she shouted this time with determination. The next thing she knew the whole thing was gone. There was no stump. "Okay that was better! And I feel a bit better." she said with a pleasant smile.

She smiled at what she had done "That was much better...you learn fast Alexis she said happily and with a wave of her wand she had it cleaned up and just in that same minute a new one appeared but this time it moved as if it was a real person "Try to disarm it this time and then when it's wandless stun it or any other thing you might want to try." She said and waited for the Gryffindor girl to try something now.

Alexis had to think for a minute and then remembered. "Okay." she said as she held up her wand and said 'Expelliarmus". The wand of the dummy just sat there. "Oh boy. I forgot I'm bad at disarming." she said a bit. Then she closed her eyes and thought for a minute. Under her breath she was saying that she can do it. She knew that she could do it. She opened her eyes and then smiled a bit. The look on her face was concentration. "Expelliarmus." she said this time sounding more convident. The next thing she knew she caught the wand in her left hand. "Stupify!" she shouted to the dummy. And it flew backwards. Somehow she remembered that one. She had a smile on her face that time. For once she was proud being a witch.

She watched as she disarmed it, and smiled...glad that she was helping someone...a helpful Slytherin? That was really unheard of but that was how she was at the moment, if Lucius saw her at that moment he would be furious with her but for once she really could care less what he thought about her actions...it wasn't as if they would effect him in anyway...but as she thought about it she realized that it would, he wanted to make her the perfect death eater, yes she was meant to go down that path but she didn't want to be forced down it completely, part of it should be her choice. She cleared her mind of all thoughts of her 'uncle' as she referred to him as and smiled at Alexis."You did a good job, and don't worry about being bad...we're only in our first year and not going to get everything perfect...it all takes practice." She said shrugging, it was true...everyone had their faults and things they struggled with, for her it was learning from a book...she was more of a hands on person. "Shall we try that again?" She asked smiling once more.
