Physical Appearance:
: Draven is six feet tall, and well built. He has thick brown hair that is not quite shoulder length and rather curly. Under florescent lighting it actually appears a dirty blonde. He has pale skin which needs to be powdered down for cameras and such. He can pull of the look of a mortal, but the only thing that is completely noticeable are his glass like finger nails. This seems to be the first thing people notice if not anything else. Though when he has gone without blood for more than a few days he looks like a complete horror, with his skin sunken in, and basically looking as if he has been deflated.
His usual form of dress is a pair of long black trip pants and a band t-shirt of some sort. He always has the case to his acoustic guitar strapped to his back, as he likes to randomly start playing when bored. Draven is often referred to as a gothic pirate, because on his other shoulder usually perched comfortably is a black crow named Louis (Pronounced Lewie) who works as Draven's owl, but also as a companion.
Personality:
Draven is a very calm person, who can get along with anyone. He is very cool and collective but at the same time very calculating and evil.
He is usually found sitting in an empty classroom playing his acoustic guitar, and staring into space. He is something of a loner who never tries to draw attention, but always seems to be surrounded by people listening to him play his random cords of The Doors and other Muggle bands.
Draven is also the rebellious type. If he doesn’t like a rule, he will be known to break it, or find any way around it he can. He tends to get into trouble a lot. Not for anything too horrible, just things like skipping classes to take a nap, or sneaking out of the castle at night to subside his thirst for blood.
Family Background && History:
Draven Bloodworth is a vampire. He and his family (Father: Eric, and Mother Sarah.) move around a lot. His father is also a vampire. He is able to endure sunlight thanks to a special potion that his father developed back when he was a child.
Draven had lived in the US all of his life, until he turned 15, and his family decided to travel the world. They can now be found living on the outskirts of London, in a huge frame house, that really looks out of place next to all of the cottages.
About a year before Draven was born, his father had encountered some of the undead. The man called himself, The Vampire Lestat. This man saw something in Eric Bloodworth that he hadn't seen in years. Lestat wined and dined Eric that night and when Eric had had his fill and went to leave, Lestat sunk his teeth into his neck.
"I could leave you here to die... OR I can give you eternal youth.* Lestat said, after he drained Eric to the point of death. "The choice is yours."
"yes" Eric wheezed with what he thought was his last breath.
Lestat used a small razor to cut into his own flesh and allow Eric to drink from the blood of his immortal body.
The next night Eric when home thinking that this would be the last time he would see his lovely wife Sarah. the two of them had been married a year, and where deeply in love.
"Eric! Where the hell where you last night?!" She asked as she ran up, and wrapped her arms around him.
"Sarah, we need to talk.. Things are going to be a bit more... complicated now."
Sarah thought she knew what was coming. He had had an affair. "Just tell me and get it over with." She said as tears fell down her face, between sobs.
Eric wrapped his arms around his wife, and kissed her softly. The just sat and looked at each other for a few minutes and with that Eric explained everything to her. That night, Draven was conceived.
About three months later Sarah started to feel strange. She started craving raw meet, and bloody steaks. She knew something was wrong with her and her baby that night. Eric took Sarah for her first trip to St. Mungoes, as she was a Muggle, and they found out that their unborn son, was actually undead.
Their son was born on time, and was considered a healthy baby. His mother wanted to name him Draven, after his great grandfather, and Eric wanted to name him Lestat after the one who had created him. To keep Draven's blood supply high, the heelers told Sarah not only to feed him regular baby formula, but the blood of small animals.
As Draven got older, his demand for blood got higher and higher, to where his father would have to bring him home rabbits, badgers and sometimes, deer. When Draven reached the age of six, Draven took his son out for his first hunt. Draven tackled and killed an elk, draining it. His father than told him the same thing Lestat had told him. "You need human blood as well son... Living off of animals like this, is barely living at all."
"But Dad, wouldn’t that be murder?" Draven asked looking scared.
"No son, it's Just another way for us to hold up the idea of the food chain. But never kill innocent people. Dig deep into their thoughts. If they are bad people than you go in for the kill." Eric had explained.
Draven's family as said elsewhere moved around a lot. Until the age of 15, Draven's father had home schooled him, but his mother demanded that Eric allow their sun to go to a regular institution to learn magic. Eric was a wizard, and a really good one; But wasn't really teacher material, and plus, Sarah wanted their son to be around others like him. Eric talked to the headmaster of a wizzarding school in New York, and Draven started the fallowing term.
He was doing well. But in the spring, his father announced to the dismay of the family that they would be moving to Britain. Draven was excited and disappointed at the same time. He wouldn't see much of his old friends anymore, but at the same time might be excepted into Hogwarts.
They had all settled into their new farmhouse in Britain, and Draven loved it. He loved going to Diagon alley, and visiting all of the awesome shops. This place was completely amazing. But summer was half way over, and Draven wasn't sure about school.
He and his mother where sitting in the living room watching TV one night, when an owl flew through the window, and dropped a letter with the Hogwarts seal on it in his lap. He was confused. 'How'd they know we moved? Dad didn't say anything.' Draven had asked his mother. Sarah just smiled. Though she was a Muggle she knew a lot about Hogwarts from Eric's friend Dean, who had attended the school back in the day. Draven was ecstatic! He couldn't wait to attend the best wizzarding school in the world. The next two weeks for Draven where sleepless. He was so excited that he would be attending Hogwarts.
Sample RP Post :
Draven wandered into the forbidden forest. It had been a while sense he had hunted, and was growing pale and faint. He leapt from tree to tree as fast as he could, occasionally glancing in different directions, to make sure he wasn't being fallowed. He peered into a small opening and saw a lone centore. 'Never drink the blood of the innocent' Draven remembered his father saying, as he moved on.
He kept leaping from tree to tree, with no luck. He would have to feed on rats, just as he had done for the past six months. Out of nowhere in the distance he saw a man wearing a hooded cloak, face barely visible.. Draven closed his eyes trying his best to bore into the man's thoughts. He saw dark and evil things. Lives lost and destroyed at the hand of the hooded figure standing in front of him.
Draven leapt down from the tree, as stealthfully as possible, and ran at the man. Before Draven got within arms reach of the man he had raised his wand. * Stupify! *The man shouted. Draven fell to the ground, paralyzed.*
Foolish child! You don’t know what you're dealing with! Now I will lift the spell, if you agree to leave here, and never tell mansion of seeing me here. *with a flick of his wand, Draven could walk again.*
I wasn’t planning on letting you live! *Draven said as he lunged at the man razor sharp fangs bared. The man stumbled backwards, and his wand clattered on the ground, as Draven sunk his teeth into the man's neck. The man's body began to flail and writhe for a few seconds as he tried to escape, but Draven continued to drink. He drained the man and left the last drop of blood as not to be dragged down with him, and left his lifeless corpse there for the animals of the forest.
Anything else?:
-Skills Though Draven is a vampire, his father concocted a potion that allows Vampires to stay awake during the day. He has twice the strength of any boy his age, and is super fast. Draven is very book-smart, and this sort of helps him get by in school, with deicent marks, even if he does have a bit of a harder time with the practical stuff. He is also very good with music; It's hard to ever find Draven Bloodworth, not carrying around his guitar.
Weaknesses: Draven has a lot going for him as far as strengths go, but at the same time, just like any other being, Draven too has flaws. Though, Draven is lucky enough to be able to walk in the daylight, just as any other mortal man can, He still detests, and is weakened by sunlight. If it’s a very bright and sunny day, Draven won’t be found anywhere outside. He will most likely be found hidden in the dungeons, trying to avoid sunlight as much as possible. Even with his potion, he still hates sunlight, and knows if he stays in it too long, he will aventually end up dead.
Another thing that tends to be one of Draven’s downfalls, is intense heat or cold. When the weather is very cold, he will usually bundle up more than most, looking like an Eskimo. If it is really hot outside, he will usually refuse to take his daytime potion altogether, and just sleep through the day.
-Future ambitions: This is one question that Draven has a lot of trouble answering. There are so many things going through Draven’s mind that he would like to do one day. The only problem is that he doesn’t know which ones he is most serious about. Two things, Draven knows he is good at and would like to incorporate into his career somehow, are music, and having fun.
Draven’s father, Eric Bloodworth (or as Draven calls him, the mad scientist) Is always experimenting with potions to make the lives of vampires, werewolves and all other creatures of the sort’s lives easier. He has already created a potion for Vampires, as stated above, which allows them to walk in broad daylight. He has also created a potion for Werewolves, which makes it so they don’t get the normal symptoms, every full moon. This potion hasn’t been fully developed yet, since werewolves and Vampires tend to try and stay away from one another… But Eric hopes to one day find one willing enough to possibly test it on.
Eric is also sort of a civil rights activist for these types of creatures as well. He is always negotiating with the minister of magic, trying to make life easier for the creatures.
