Addy smirked and shrugged "You can do the honors" Addy offered before she turned back to the tree sure she saw something there, but it could have been anything.
"You don't think that maybe we should just be like the other students and try not to find adventures" Addy questioned before she shook her head and laughed.
"Don't worry it sounded boring as I said it" Addy declared narrowing her eyes. "Um I'm not to sure but are there any creatures that live in the Whomping Willow?" Addy questioned sure now that she saw something.

George flinched when he heard the tree outside freeze. Carefully, he pressed himself against the wall, clutching his messenger bag against his chest. So much for finding the PERFECT hiding spot to do paperwork. How many was this now? Seven?
George suddenly pulled his wand out of his pocket. He had the feeling that whatever it was might be of the human persuasion. Possibly Lucius. Most likely a troublemaking student. George rolled his eyes. Why weren't classes keeping these kids under locks?
Then again, George was never one for classes either. He prayed that the students weren't Gryffindors... he really didn't want to take points from his own house if he didn't have to.
George waited, his breathing shallow and quiet.

Addy offered that Lucinda could do the honors in stunning the tree. Lucinda wondered if she was just being polite or if she didn’t know how. She shook off the thought as she dug into the pocket on her robes for her wand. Upon extracting it, Addy said that maybe they could try being normal and not find adventures. She seemed to laugh it off though.
“If we were like other students, I think we would die of ennui,” Lucinda laughed. She pointed her wand toward the Whomping Willow, mutter a brief incantation, and stunned the branches. She didn’t know how long it would hold, though. She had a backup plan the last time she had done this and was up in the tree.
“No idea,” Lucinda responded truthfully as she headed toward the now frozen willow. “Think I should shoot a stunning spell in there too, just in case? I don’t need any surprise attacks by squirrels.” She laughed and pointed her wand toward the hollow of the tree, waiting for Addy’s confirmation.

Addy removed her wand and pointed at the base of the tree. "We could both stun what ever is in there" Addy offered as she settled her eyes on the area where she had seen something move.

Lucinda smirked mischieviously and nodded approval as Addy removed her own wand.
"Double the power equals the better chance of stunning whatever it is in there for good," Lucinda said with a broad grin across her face.
"On the count of three, then?" she suggested. "One...tw-"

George popped his head out of the tree hole. He DIDN'T want to get stunned and then end up lying there, motionless, in the tree. Who KNEW what Lucinda and Adalia were capable of doing while he was stunned. He worried far more about Adalia, who seemed to find him a sort of God.
"What the bloody hell are you two doing?!" George hissed, clutching his messenger bag to his chest. Then he realized he'd cursed in front of students. He closed his eyes, sighed, and calmed himself down. "...Miss Chaplin, Miss Addison... the only thing in here is a circular room. I've been doing bookwork here because I'm trying to avoid things like... people barging in on me and trying to stun me for no known reason." He hoped the irony was noticable. "...Can you please go back to the common room? I should take points, but... that'd make me a hypocrite, because I did the same thing with Fred in MY first year..."

The appearance of a full grown wizard was not what Lucinda expected to come popping out of the hollow in the tree. As he used vulgar language, Lucinda screamed in surprise and instinctively pointed her wand at the tall figure and yelled, “Expelliarmus!”, knocking everything he hand in his hands to the ground.
Panting slightly, Lucinda peered over and noticed that she had just attacked a teacher! She panicked and dashed over to him. She realized that it was Professor Weasley, the broomstick teacher. She had met him on a previous occasion and she liked him a lot. She wasn’t sure if the feeling was mutual anymore now that she had just used a spell against him.
“I’m really really sorry, Professor!” she apologized. “I just - I don’t even know where that came from! I could say it was instinct but it still doesn’t make up for that fact that I actually just threw a spell at you.” She hoped he wasn’t too offended, and felt even more guilty when he mentioned that he wasn’t going to remove any points. Lucinda looked at Addy and back at the professor.

George stared at his wand, which had fallen behind him. He then glanced back to Lucinda, who looked positively shell-shocked. As she blathered on about being sorry, George realized his messenger bag had fallen to the wayside as well. He did his best to collect up all the papers he'd lost, wondering how on earth he'd been disarmed by a first-year. Definitely fear of being stunned - Lucinda was a powerful witch, after all.
"...Hey, if someone came out of a rabbit-hole and started cursing at me, you can BET I'd be shooting off some sort of spell at them," George smirked, although he was seriously debating whether or not to deduct points. Not that Gryffindor had many to spare at this point, anyway. "...What are you two even DOING out here, anyway? You're going to be in a boatload of trouble if anyone else catches you out here... like Lucius Malfoy, he's been creeping around..."
George was so flustered that he'd left a few papers and a picture on the ground, and hadn't even noticed.

Professor Weasley seemed just as shocked as Lucinda, except for other reasons, perhaps. He said a comment about a rabbit and Lucinda laughed. She apologized once more and noticed that he had a few papers and a picture that he had dropped and forgotten. She walked over to pick them up before they were caught in the breeze. Not meaning to be nosy, Lucinda handed them smartly back to him without even glancing at them.
"Well, our initial intention was NOT to be getting in trouble," Lucinda said in answer of his question, smiling. She looked at Addy and grinned. "But we decided that we wanted to take a harmless adventure. That didn't turn out exactly how we planned, however."
Lucinda shrugged. She was starting to get annoyed at the constant interuptions whenever Addy and herself wished to do something even remotely dangerous or rule breaking. Didn't teachers have lives? Professor Weasley seemed pretty cool about the whole situation however, although Lucinda wouldn't be surprised if he docked off some points for the whole disarming thing.
She looked at Addy for confirmation, a large grin across her face.

Addy was shocked that they had almost cursed a teacher... Lucinda had preformed a spell on him.
Listening to the pair Addy couldn't help but giggle then shake her head "Really sorry sir.... and Lucinda is right...I'm really sorry sir, but at least students are more perpared now a days" Addy couldn't help but giggle as she said this. It could have been worse it could have been Lucius Malfoy. She quickly ducked her head ready for the trouble they were no doubt going to be in.

George accepted the papers Lucinda handed him, noticing that one was a picture of his. Hoping that they didn't look at it, he shoved everything back into his bag, still very flustered.
Another hiding place gone, George thought bitterly. Now where am I going to find a place to WORK without being dis -?
Then he remembered. The one-eyed witch statue.
Feeling a bit less angered but no less shocked, George turned to Lucinda and Adalia. Adalia had gotten a sudden case of the giggles, which made no sense in context but (George surmised) was probably a reaction to her fear, and Lucinda was still overly concerned about the whole situation.
"Okay you two," George said very plainly. "There's a reason this place is out-of-bounds. If you miss the tree trunk, you're gonna get impaled. Think I'm joking, d'you? My brother Ron broke both his legs after a dog slammed him into some of the branches. Back in my friend's father's time, a kid almost lost his eye going near it. I know I was inside of it, but it was hell getting into it... please, for your own sakes, clear off..."
He turned and walked towards the castle, but then stopped. "Besides, you're supposed to be in bed anyway. Quite the troublemakers you two are." But he was grinning.
George was going to have fun stopping those two. It'd be like a game.
Or like being in school again.

Professor George Weasley seemed a bit flustered, but the cause didn't seem to be Lucinda and Addy. Battling some personal thoughts, Lucinda imagined. She ignored it and waited for him to round on them with detentions and maybe point deductions. Surprisingly, he did no such thing.
Instead, he told them 'terrifying' stories of what had happened to kids who tried to get passed the Whomping Willow. Lucinda didn't find them the least bit terrifying, but more with gruesome endings. She remembered once that Ron had told her about that encounter.
Her father had taken her into the Ministry just a few years ago after her declaration to become an Order member and Auror was absolute. She met with Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger. They told her of all sorts of events that had happened during their crazy seven years there - well, techincally six, depending.
"He told me about that once," Lucinda remarked. "That was their first encounter with Sirius Black." Sirius Black had been that dog, she was later told. She found this story more interesting then the many she had been told, and wished ever since that he was still alive so she could meet him. She shrugged.
Weasley began to stalk off back to the school. He turned around and added that they should be in bed. He didn't saying in a scolding manner, but with a wide grin on his face. Lucinda couldn't help but to grin back, especially when he referred to them as troublemakers.
"We aren't troublemakers," Lucinda protested jokingly. "We're adventurists." She declared this with mock pride, standing up tall in demonstration. "If you ever need someone to sneak around the school, get the dirt on someone, or do something wild, we're your girls." She smiled broadly at her jest, although she still would do any of these things if he asked her to and wouldn't care about the consequences. Being set on missions was a fun chore, and Lucinda made clear that this showed.
