George had to snort at Katana's attack on Draco. Headmaster Daylor needn't worry about George acting up - if everyone else continued on their course, the other professors would do it for him. George noted that Lucius was eyeing George's firewhisky with a curious look.
"...Something wrong with my drink, Lucius?" George questioned, voice free of venom. He noticed that Zoe appeared to be punishing herself; George had to admit that he'd never seen her get so angry before. Netta seemed calm and comfortable, Lucius looked cold as always, Katana was acting very seriously, and Lyn was just listening intently.
"We could always open a class for Muggle Cleaning Methods, if you think students don't know how to do it properly," George suggested jokingly. "But seriously, unless we've got someone worse than me and Fred here, cleaning and sorting frog spawn will set them straight."
George suddenly gulped. What IF there were students worse than him and Fred? There was no telling what they'd do, and one guess as to who the staff would blame for it. Him. George sank a little lower in his seat.

Zoe was rapidly beginning to like Katana. She'd always stayed away from her at school, as she was a Slytherin and they weren't known for their kindness to Gryffindors, actually, quite the opposite. Zoe felt ashamed at her stereotypical views. George asked Lucius a question and she saw that Lucius was glaring at the drink. It looked as if the drink itself had insulted him worse than she. Zoe considered George's suggestion. She laughed, "yes, first detention, Muggle Cleaning Theory, second detention, Muggle Cleaning Practical, etc...although, it may not affect the unruly Muggle borns as such." She shot a glance at Lucius at the mention of Muggle borns, she wanted to see his reaction.

"Muggle borns dislike it as much as anyone, I should know. I mostly grew up with my uncle he was a squib so we had to do everything by hand." She said laughing at the memories, and missing her car. She should have brought it, she could have put it somewhere. She sighed, already going through withdrawls. Katana sat up straighter, going to her overly polite mode twords Lucius. She didn't want to start a fight and if she kept going in the direction she was, someting was bound to happen.

Brendan watched as each teacher had ideas for detentions and their complaints of students. Especially Gryffindors??? How could they be like this. Never when he was one. Absolutely not whatsoever! "I however, hard to say as I find it torture, but I actually agree on punishment Madame Trickora, of muggle work. Seeing how I grew up with muggles it's hard to blame and say I never did it when I have."
He looked around at all the other teachers. "Netta, I'm sure we could do something as a week detention for Ms. Chaplin seeing how her actions have occurred throughout the year so far." He took a drink of his butterbeer and looked at Lucius. "Lucius any thing you have in mind of what detention you are giving your student you caught in the forbidden forest?" He shrugged at the gasps by the teacher.
"Yes well, at least students are working on getting their house points. I seem to recall Ravenclaw in first, followed by Hufflepuff, then Slytherin and Gryffindor --- well, dead last with 5 I think?" He looked at Rosmerta as she spoke. "Now surely you all won't be to harsh on the students they are only first years I assume I heard correctly"
Brendan smiled. "Yes I guess you're right Rosmerta. Still we also should probably have all head of houses ---" He looked at Netta and Lucius. So would he at Diandria Austentia and Minerva McGonagall if they had shown. "--- Should remind the students the out of bounds of 1st Years which I believe we can take off 3rd floor since it's no need as forbidden anymore but should add the Shrieking Shack to the matter?"
Brendan asked for more butterbeer as Rosmerta had got up. He turned to Katana. "How is your Remedies coming along Trickora? I assure students are well liking of it. Let's just hope coming this May 5th years will exceed their O.W.L.s." O.W.L.s (Overly Wizarding Levels) were exams for Fifth Years to test their knowledge of what they knew to enter 6th Year. "Also heads and teachers be cautious to remind your students what spells are not allowed in class. You may all get a copy from Lyn."
((Lynette is Netta by the way Lyn))

((Sorry Brendan, my mistake))
Lyn didn't know how to act when Headmaster Brendan Daylor spoke her name. She wasn't expecting that but saved the situation well.
"Yes, I will make a copy for everyone. Please make sure to talk to me tough because of that."
She looked around at the other teachers.

"Hmm, spells not allowed in class?" George pretended to think before smirking. He was having a little too much fun. Maybe it was the alcohol.
He nodded his approval on Muggle cleaning once again. Of all people, he knew that it worked. Usually. Fred and him were just inclined to be stupid during their school days. Unless they had another pair of wiseacres. Which was definitely possible, judging on the last topic of discussion.
George busied himself thinking of what obviously forbidden spells might crop up on Lyn's list.
Well, we know Avada Kedavra's in the running, George thought with a tiny giggle.

((Figured it was time something interesting happened....))
Lucius glared at George Weasley across the table, partly out of embarassment from having George catch him staring at his drink and partly anger for him making it public.
"Professor Weasley, and I use the term VERY lightly, I don't personally have a problem with your drink. I just assumed it would be a bit inappropriate at a staff meeting. But since when has a Weasley ever had the decency and home-training to know how to properly act at a meeting?"
That was it. It was out in the open. All the bottled up emotions were beginning to boil over, and Lucius had had enough of the disrespectful glares and mutterings directed towards him. Nobody wanted him there, and he didn't want to be there. So why was he? What would stop him from just getting up and walking out? His pride. He wouldn't let them know they got the best of him. Not Lucius Malfoy. If anything, Lucius felt these professors should be groveling at his feet for him offering his services to make Hogwarts a better place. But he kept the matter to himself, instead focusing on addressing the two people who actually cared for his opinion: Headmaster Daylor and Lyn Collins.
"Yes, headmaster, I caught Adalia Addison and made her do detention with me in the dungeons. She cleaned cauldrons with only a brush I provided for her...I guess you call it 'muggle work' and she did not like it. It was effective to say the least, though that one has a bit of a sharp tongue."
He settled back into his seat, picking up his staff and laying it on the table. The floor was much too dirty for it to be there, and he figured it alone was worth more than any of the pathetic teachers at the table. He blew off every nasty stare with a bored, impassive expression on his face.

"Lucius I believe that statement was out of line. I'm not sure that comment would be called appropriate in civilized conversation, and since I think we all know how civilized you are, I'm not sure if you would like to be known for saying something like that" Katana hissed, becoming very sarcastic at the end of her statement.
"You seem to believe it is appropriate to insult ones family, and I'm not sure that you would enjoy it if someone insulted your Family, if you could even call it that. Your family is no more than a bunch of hypocrites and cowards."

Zoe let out an obvious laugh at Katana's statement. Realizing there was tension between the group, now, she quietened herself and spoke. "I think we should get back to the matter at hand, not turn into a group of squabbling school children." She thought for a moment before adding more. "And, so as to not turn into a hypocrite myself, I apologize for speaking inappropriately earlier." She hoped that the group would accept her apology. She was going to take George to a side and apologize, as it was his sister who Lucius had targeted, but she believed she owed an apology to the rest of the group, although she kicked herself for saying it to Malfoy.

Netta found herself beginning to like Katana. She was the kind of person she liked as a Slytherin. And she didn't seem to be taken in my Lucius's high and mighty act. Lucius. She refused to call him Mr or Professor Malfoy when the students weren't around. That was what she did for all the teaching staff and she wasn't about to make an exception for him. Nor was she going to be openly insult him, that would also be making an exception for him. Netta was a big fan of fairness.
"As Zoe said, back on topic, I personally believe that as a punishment would work. I'd also like to suggest having a specific detention for certain offences to make sure we all give out the same punishment and to make sure none of us favour our old Houses," Netta stated. She was talking about everyone here, she knew that it was hard not to favour your old House. It was where you'd spent seven years of your life; it was hard to not feel some attachment to it.

Zoe nodded in agreement after Netta spoke. "I think Netta is right," she agreed, "we must not favor our old Houses, however hard we find that task," she refrained herself from looking at Malfoy. "Also," she pressed on, "the idea of having specific detentions for certain offenses is a good idea. I think we should also make sure that the students are aware of the consequences behind breaking certain rules. For example, Entering the Forbidden Forest is life threatening, talking in class means taking points, and/or detention, entering the Shrieking Shack is dangerous because..." she trailed off, hoping the teachers got the idea.

George glared wordlessly at Lucius, not daring to say anything. If he said nothing, nothing was his fault. He was only asking because it appeared that Lucius was waiting for for his drink to poison him, anyway. It was more the jab at his family that got him fuming. He heard Katana verbally berated Lucius, but he got no joy out of it. It was just another reason for Lucius to lash out later. George took another drink of firewhisky, not moving his eyes away from Lucius. Netta and Zoe had tried to bring the conversation back on track, but George wasn't really paying attention anymore... at least, not until Zoe mentioned speaking inappropriately earlier.
"...Don't worry about it, Prof - Zoe," George corrected himself. He really needed to stop being so formal around the other professors. "It's fine, just..." George trailed off, not sure what to say. He really didn't want to deepen the rifts forming at the staff meeting.
"We should probably have better security around the Whomping Willow, too," George mentioned, recalling how he'd found Lucinda and Adalia trying to sneak into the secret passageway. "I don't know how many of you know this, but there's a little room inside of the base of it, and I caught two students debating whether to sneak into it. I couldn't really take points, seeing as they didn't actually DO anything, but... I told them off anyway."

Brendan held up a hand to silence everyone. "Please, do not make a scene here Malfoy and Weasley. We don't need persuasion and find in the Daily Prophit says that Hogwarts Staff are completely out of control and are not suitable as to be a good example towards students and should the staff assign new broom training and dueling teachers!" He spoke rather quickly looking from one to another.
He peered around. "Now you all know Albus would say the same. He would like the school to continue very." He looked at each teacher. "Each of you are unique though some have records to the Ministry." He looked deeply at Lucius Malfoy, who to him looked like he'd been mocked. "Now as I have said before to you all personally it's time to bring it out."
He turned to George first. "George you have of course been a little snotty around Lucius, and I'm sure I understand, but have no need to do in public. You however have extreme talent. Your skills of flying and your joke shop are assuringly amusing. Your flying skills have paid off since you were a beater with your twin." He looked straight at Lucius next.
"You have, of course, amused me this term Lucius!" He gave a start. "You know the Ministry of Magic has high records of your previous methods of wizard habits. Especially of you being locked up in Azkaban about 16 years ago. However the Ministry is only letting you off probation and teaching here 'cause of my wishes." He could have sworn he saw a dirty face at him but gave no attention. "As for your skills, your Dueling Magic acquirement have absolutely made me real fond of your teachings with Professor Colins." He cleared his throat. "Perhaps you and Weasley should stop by my office this weekend to discuss the problem."
He turned to Netta. "Netta! You know I am very fond of you of your Charm abilities. A tiny habit of the concern and very strict of the rule breaking policy however since we were years you had no desire before! But as the past years, you have become a favorite of mine because of your extreme magic, and ability to help the... Order." He said under his breath, "That is part reason, you, were made Head of House and D.H."
Lyn however was next. "Lyn! You have always inspired me since you came to teach here. I would have appointed you Head of House if we hadn't've gotten Diandria, who I'm surprised never showed... along with Minerva, I have had the decency of your abilities to appoint you head of the Dueling Club!!!" He smiled as he turned.
"Katana Trickora. Oh how delighted of you to show and have a drink with us. Of certain history of me finding no record yet, and your abilities with remedies I was perhaps at the point of asking you to be our Nurse of the Hospital Wing? Extra pay perhaps?" He took a drink of butterbeer and ordered a firewhisky for him and Weasley.
"Drink up George, you look like you'll really need it." He said happily.
"Now of course Zoe." He looked from her, to Malfoy than back. "As of course you have no record of any misbehavior of history and of just finishing teaching you two years back... you have however had recent family problems correct? I assure you and.. if I'm not mistaken... asking you to put aside the family issues of course your dear cousin in-law is he? Anyhoo... Your amazing skills at Dragon teaching is outstanding! Perhaps we can discuss of a dragon friend of mine later on we could perhaps visit soon?" He took more drink and waited for any questions or replies or comments or complaints.

George awkwardly took the firewhisky from Headmaster Daylor, utterly enthralled. He wasn't quite sure what had just transpired, but he was pretty sure that the Headmaster had simultaneously praised and insulted every teacher on his staff. George was usually pretty good at finding hidden meanings, but this time he really had no idea what was going on. He took a sip of firewhisky - Headmaster Daylor was right, he needed it.
"I - I didn't mean to be out of control, Headmaster," George murmured, deeply embarrassed, although in his head he thought that Zoe had been more out of line than him, and Lucius definitely, but he'd gotten quite the tongue-lashing too. He knew it - first sign of trouble, he'd be blamed, just like in school.
But discussing his problem with Lucius...? That was a recipe for disaster, although George wasn't about to tell the Headmaster that. He'd tell Erica later; she'd probably have a way to calm him down, anyway. All Lucius managed to do was rile him up.
Although at the moment he appeared just as humiliated as George did. George would have smirked evilly, but now was not a good time.

Zoe nodded at the Headmasters speech. However, she did not approve of it. Put her problems with Lucius aside?! He and his little 'gang' were the reason her cousin and parents were dead. That was not something she could easily forget. She loathed Lucius Malfoy almost as much as Bellatrix Lestrange, and she was not going to surrender to him. One of these days, the Order will get both Lucius and Bellatrix. That would be the day Zoe really got her revenge. For now, however, Zoe would merely smile politely and wait for the attack on her. "I understand what you are saying, Headmaster, and, although it will be difficult to put my problems aside," she said, with a glance at Malfoy that was neither loathing or provoking, "I will leave them among my thoughts, and not announce them in public." for now... she added, silently.
